Uh...I just got home from watching it............

I don't really know how I feel about it to be honest.....

Anyone else see it yet? What did you think?

BAHAHAHA

that was awesome.

yeah its a good part in the film

but i really liked the movie except that it didnt follow anything to do with the xmen comics at all....

AND....

juggernaut isn't a mutant so that part in the room with jimmy really bothered me.

yeah i saw it on the first midnight showing and it was pretty good, but it was hardly worth it... and yeah the whole thing with Jean was really annoying. like 9 times somebody would come up to talk to her and then they would spend ten minutes with her turning psycho and throwing the person around. it got so old after lke the 4th time.

i see, you don't enjoy movies.

why don't you give us a list of all the things you dislike in society's popular culture. I really hope u arent one of those "im unique cuz i roll with the counter culture and try to be original." when really...trying to be original makes you just as unoriginal as anything else my dear.

very good response to a 2 word post.

I'm seeing xmen tonight actually, but sci-fi stuff and mutants are indeed geeky. Not that I don't enjoy it, because I have seen the other two as well. A subtle thing such as Sarcasm gets a little mixed up in type.

i like sci fi stuff and im not a geek.

im not a crazy trekky or anything though lol

but i am a film student and therefore all genres of film interest me period. s i am a FILM geek. so i guess in a sense you were accurate

I just got back from it as well, I enjoyed it. Perhaps not as good as the others in the series, but still good.

Haven't read the comics (just watched the cartoons, but noticed that when the juggernaut and xavier met they said nothing to each other, aren't they step brothers?

I reckon it could have done with being a bit longer, everything just seemed to happen too fast, just as you absorbed one massive event another one was right along.

Amazing effects though, the stuff jean grey/the phoenix was doing was incredible.

Did everyone who watched it stay until after the credits?

I did, i dont really understand how its possible SPOILER DONT READ ON IF YOU HAVENT SEEN IT

How is xavier brought back to life? he was dissolved.... i dont get it... plus how does Magneto still have his powers.... someone help, ive never read a comic before in my life.

im assuming they'll throw in that the 'cure' was only temporary and the scientists were idiots.

magneto has his powers cuz clearly they wanna make a 4th. but waht i dont get is magneto's brotherhood is now all dead pretty much...........so who will he team up with?

APOCOLYPSE? would be so chill...

umm also...no i did not stay after the credits what happened after the credits do tell.

My friend wants to see it SUPER bad, so I'll probably check it out with her next weekend. Looks pretty good. I havent seen the other ones though, should I see em first?

man it was allright, but i dont get why the ice guy went back to the roge chick, i thought the other one was cuter

LOL

that is the most simplest way of looking at it. ha.

but basically cuz rogue can ride him good now that she has no more powers. plus...eventually rogue is like uber powerful and has super human strength and can fly so come on.

do u want uber hot flying woman or some girl who can walk through walls and is like...12 years old.

clearly kittie pride is way too young for ice man and he doesnt wanna go to mutant jail.

After the credits it cut to a shot of the guy in a coma/no brain function that Xavier used as a case study in his ethics class. He speaks and has xaviers voice and the woman who was in the tape says 'charles?' then it ended.

What I guess was that charles somehow transferred his conciousness to this guys body, so he's back (and perhaps walking too)!!:)

As for who magneto will team up with, Mystique will be back as well and lots of the brotherhood were just cured, not killed, so they'll be around as well.

Oh and as for rougue and iceman, she might be able to ride him good now, but he's gonna get one hell of a shock when her powers come back!!

well mystique became a traitor, so i doubt she'll be back... remmeber? they showed a film of her talking to the government so i really doubt she'll be accepted back

yeah right, why not just have leech in the room when they do it? Then she won't have her powers. They can just give him a book to read to keep him occupied ;)

straight up gambit is the shit.

gambit and rogue end up together though. aaah hmm the gay love plot thickens.

i would like to see havok come out but if cyclops is dead then they wont bring him in...BUT....we didnt ACTUALLY see cyclops die so he's probably still alive somewhere near alkine lake.

The kid at the snack bar told me to watch the movie to the very end, passed the credits, which was good advice.

It was not good enough to keep me awake past the first hour and a bit. My friends told me it was lame though so no regrets. Such a long build-up to the action, it was kinda lame.

i thought it just pushed the suspension of disbelief over the edge. Why the hell would Magneto go to all the effort to move the Golden Gate Bridge just to get to Alcatraz? And if they just wanted to kill that kid, why not drop the bridge on him? And maybe it's just me, but I thought the suddenly achieved power to vaporize dozens of people at once was a little too much.

i saw it, i thought it was pretty sick, i didnt read the comic books so mayb thats why i liked it so much cuz i wasnt worried about it following those but idk i just thought it was well worth goin to see

yeah he is a mutant. the flame guys said that once he got his momentum going nothing in the world could stop him. that not something you can do by being really strong.

and i thought it was the best movie ever, and i wish all movies were like it

i think this whole remaking of classic marvel comics into real movies is fucking retarded. you cant take an original and try to make it like that. spiderman movies are alright...5/10 but xmen is just pure ass

he isnt a mutant in the COMICS was my point...

he gets his powers from this ring he found a long time ago. and i remember there was one comic released during which someone steals the ring from juggernaut and he becomes small and frail. so he isnt a mutant because being a mutant is in your DNA and this isnt in his blood.

they pretty much wrote in juggernaut as a mutant for convenience sake which kinda bothers me. that is poor writing if you ask me.

but nonetheless this movie was badass and quite frankly i give it 4 out of 5 stars. being a film critic myself i would like to say that whether or not it stayed true to the comic books it was entertaining and i enjoyed it. even though brett didnt direct the other films he did a good job at keeping the same style.
