X-mas Present for Wife

My wife is in need of a new digital camera and I thought that I would get her one for Christmas. She is by no means very tech/photography savy, so I am looking at something pretty easy to use. She would mainly be using it for pics of the kids and that sort of thing.

I would like to use it for hiking/outdoors type stuff as well.

I don't really want to spend more than $200 (2 small kids at home seem to always be able to get their hands on our cameras).

After a quick search here are some of the options I am looking at:

Sony Cybershot H55

Canon Powershot SX130-IS

Fujifilm Finepix S1800

Any thoughts/opinions on these or others that might suit what I am looking for?

Canon Powershot SD750 is an awesome camera.
They are kinda hard to find now, but they take great photos and are pretty simple to use. Around the $150 range.

I'm a nikon guy when it comes to DSLRs for sure, but I've always been more impressed with the Canon point and shoots. You really can't go wrong; they all take great photos. Some of the minor details you can ignore (often with point and shoots, having more megapixels doesn't necessarily mean a better sensor), but remember that to some degree, you will get what you pay for!

I don't know the line at all, so I can't really recommend a specific one. But i've been playing with one my girlfriend's roomate got from costco on the cheap and I really like it. Wish I remembered what it was called.

The nikon coolpix p100 is a great intermediate camera. It's a little bit more expensive about 300-400 but takes good quality pictures and videos for your money.

Try and find a used canon g9. They have to be the BEST point and shoot and can be used by people who want stunning pictures without knowing what they're doing too people who can adjust everything to how they want.

Many thanks to everybody for their feedback. I will let you know when I make a decision. At least I didn't wait until the last minute like usual.
