Do you guys think travis pastrana will pull a double backflip? Also do you think that he can do carollas? I cant wait to watch X Games tonight

 
no he wont double back, and i dont know if he can do carolla's, i havent heard anything about that. i cant wait for the supermoto.

travis can do a backflip then mulisha twist in one jump, i saw him dowing them in a foam pit, but i guess its harder on dirt

he might try the double back in the freestyle...but in the best trick he did a backflip saranwrap i think...and the tryed a backflip barspin which was sweet...But he does have the double back I was watching him on tv doing it into the fome pit and hes got it like 4/5 on dirt imagining if it was there in the fome...

Pastrana can double back but really don't believe he's going to attempt it. He is just having fun really at this X-Games. Anyways why pull a double backflip when he's got something else to polish up that is generations ahead of today's freestyle moto-x? ;)

 
Pastrana should have won with a backflip saran wrap- no handed landing, it was better than the backflip no foot - one handed landing

 
REASONS XGAMES SUCK SO FAR

1.bmx vert

-guys do 3 tricks, 540 flare and tail whip, lame

-all runs are so repetitive

-there is a bmx best trick vert, so all the guys are pussys with good tricks on the vert comp

-Dave crashed and quit

Moto X

-no new tricks

-pastranas bike was sick, but if he landed it how could they judge that when no one else can do barspins?

-so he builds a sick bike for the comp and can do tricks just because of his bike. gay

that bike was pretty lame, i dont think a barspin backflip would have won... but did you see the video of him trying to do the bike varial into the foam pit.... that was nuts.

hmm idk, but i think that would be harder because there is no suspension to give the bike good pop and they dont have as big of jumps.

true enough, in moto they seems like the rider is along for the ride during a flip and counting on montemun while in bmx the rider does the flipping. it's would be sick to see both sports land it.

the summer xgames pretty much suck now. all they ever show on tv is moto x, which is the most repetitive sport i have ever watched. skateboarding vert is cool to watch, but park gets really boring because they carry no speed at all. they have surfing now, but they will probably only show 5 minutes of that, and they completely took out rollerblading, not that they ever showed it on tv.

 
i agree, moto X is waaaaaayyyyy too boring. i don't even know how it can so popular... its like, backflips look too easy now. its not fun to watch anymore. all that is worthwile are the board and bike sports. inline was never shown anyways.

i realize rollerblading was never shown, but if you think back to when it was, there were no two runs that were the same. each competitor had his or her own style, some went for big spin tricks while others were more focused on tech grinds and whatnot. moto x everyone does the same things, its more fun to watch when each athlete has an entirely different run than the one before him.

 
This is not BMX's year so far... everyone (literally, everyone) falling in their first park run. Best thing I've seen so far was that cross-footed 360 tailwhip, which admittedly was damn awesome looking... and the backflip tailwhip. I think Mirra's in better shape than he was letting on.

 
What a fucking joke these judges are... That was waaaaay worse than anything I've ever seen in winter x. Cranmer should've taken it, Mirra should be third behind Nyquist, probably, or maybe Steve McCann because that 360 double tailwhip was fucking insane.

 
The summer Xgames really have gone down the shithole. They got rid of all the sweetest events that they used to have back in teh day like skyboarding, street luging, downhill skateboard racing, and inline rollerblading. Rollerblading was insane last year with the Yasutoko bros boosting 20+ feet out of the pipe and doing their ridiculously crazy tricks. Now all they ever show is god damn fmx. Ok the backflip was amazing the first year, and im not saying its easy to do, but come on, the winning trick is ALWAYS a "360" (really just an off axis backflip) or some version of teh backflip. I wish the xgames would go back to their roots and be good again and actually have a variety of events that are interesting.

i completely agree with skifree. basically, moto x is the most overhyped, overrated "sport" currently in the media spotlight.

 
Moto X is such a limited sport in itself. they can't spin more than a 360 because the bike is too heavy, they can't land switch because they would kill themselves. all they are really able to do is jump around the saddle.

holy shit couldn't agree more. I'm not a bmx expert, but that judging sucked dick. Perfect example of the X-Games having to promote their stupid stories...aka mirra gets hurt, doesn't practice, wins park anyway.

don't get me wrong, mirra's sick, but nyquist's run with the cork 7 (which the announcers couldn't figure out) over the sharkfin was crazy, as was the 3 double whip, and the frontflip turndown. I'm not into bmx enough to know what order would have made more sense, but I know it's not the one that happened, and a lot of people got ripped off.
