X-Games Slopestyle

Yeah there are always judging issues with someone getting underscored... but oddly this year it's more about the judges not being able to get off Bobby's D. I mean he sketched the fuck out of run 1 and still got an 86.

Also really noticing more than ever that X games is about 30-40% actual snowsports, 60-70% marketing.
 
well he got the first 2 perfect scores in a row last night, i think that justifies hype. im a little disappointed they dont hype tj more though, his run was so insane yesterday.
 
if Bobby wins he becomes the next superpro. Shaun white Status. that would be great for skiing, and for him. That handplant on the hitching post was DOPE!
 
I figured it out....
It was the monster drink guy - he throws them all the bottle of monster for the tv shot... B-Dog was too pissed at himself to do it so he was probably being reminded he's contractually obliged to drink some monster or some shit...
 
I forget almost every run that the last jump is the money booter and its 68' long.

Anyone else hear the one commentator say, "This is why they are named the way they are: you stomp these they pay your bills! Hahahahaha."

i wouldn't hate snowboarder x with such a burning passion if it didnt always cut out skiing slopestyle filnals
 
switching back and forth ruins the whole viewer experience. not to mention they spend 80% of time on boardercross... who likes this shit?
 
He didn't deserve the first perfect score. A switch double 14 definitely justifies it. That being said, it was going on before last night, slope elims they were all over du's nuts. The thing about Bobby is he has 2 doubles in his run and the money trick is the best trick anyone in the field has, and he has it on absolute lock. But du sucks on rails and style is generally no better than anyone else's. He's pretty much riding that trick to the podium. I hate to be the guy with a mouthful of Tom's genitalia because that would require getting in line behind every single kid on this site, but from that field, he has everything he needs to win if they're willing to give him the scores (which isn't at all clear). Jossi and Andreas do as well.
 
Then to be fair, they should show the first 15 seconds of it, then go to a commercial like they did during TWall's first run.
 
He's Canadian that's why. They'll choose a skier who's american that they can sell to the US audience like Bobby.
 
Tom has a great run and if he stomps it will be a top contender for first. I think Sammy Jossi and Andreas all have dope runs as well.. I would love to see Tom Jossi and Sammy on the podium.

I am unconvinced by that switch 10, Russ. Also needs the mute to japan on the bottom hit.
 
Tom has more dubs than anyone in the field, he could put down 3 of them, but the question is if he can stick it.

Bobby screwed up the landing of the last jump but will still get 93+
