X-games invited athletes

Ya i know what you mean man, He killed it in Pretty Good last year and the new edit that just came out, PBP had a superpark!
 
Don't know why people love bobby brown so much, his tricks are good but his style just looks so awkward and uncomfortable. I'd much rather watch wallisch, casabon, or harlaut. People think style and skill are seperate things but really good style comes from being comfortable and confident which to me is a better skier than someone who has to throw (huck) their core and hope the rest comes around.

My memory isn't perfect, but I do remember thinking that Wallisch should have won last year over bobby brown, but not quite sure.

And I hope lolo and colby get in, they're def some of my favorite skiers to watch in x games
 
maybe bobby is a slopestyle rider for the type of x games course they've set up the past two years, but what i mean is for the type of slopestyle course you would expect for a such a competition as the x-games, there should be an equal weight on rails, and bobby can't offer that. I completely agree with you though, i would love to see some hard rails come back into the course so that it separates the big air skiers, such as bobby brown, from the true slopestyle skiers that can handle both hard rails and jumps.
 
Keep in mind that a lot of this is probably based on contest results. I don't remember LJ doing a ton of comps last year. Think about it, Gus dominated comps last year and got the nod. It's hard to say though, I imagine there is a bottomless amount of politics involved.
 
Bobby is the only skier to win gold in slopestyle and big air in X Games history. He also won the Breck stop of the Dew Tour. Maybe he doesn't hit urban like some of the other competitors on the list but he's still the guy to beat in slopestyle. Also, there's no such thing as "big air skiers" unless you're talking about aerialists.

its because its a fucking competition .... no one cares who you would prefer to watch, its about who puts down the best run throughout the course, and everyone loves bobby so much because he fucking slays slopestyle courses, he doesnt huck either,

I could be wrong, but I think Wallisch didn't stomp a single run. And his style is super smooth and natural. Sure, he doesn't force afterbang, but he sure as hell stomps his tricks, and grabs them damn well.
 
As far as competitions go, he's a big air competitor. all i'm saying is that i'd like to see the slopestyle course this year have more technical, difficult rails so that the rail tricks can be equally judged as the jump tricks.

I think people seriously underestimate Alex. He is literally made to be a perfect athlete/skier. I will be surprised if he is not top 5.
 
Nah man, I think you have it mixed up here. Your probably thinking of Euro X Slope which Wallisch won, but which possibly could have gone to Brown. Both solid runs, check em for yourself:

I understand what your saying. Although it still makes no sense because Bobby won gold last year. AND either way schlopy is not in that list. go watch pretty good and tell my schlopy doesnt slay rails and urban. kids a boss.
