Wyoming or Utah

So I'm going on a ski trip in late January, and I have the option of either going to Jackson Hole, or hitting up the Utah resorts, which do you think I should go to.

Ah man thats a really hard choice... If you can spend a day at each different resort in Utah that might be worth it ( they are a lot of good ones a few hours apart) It would be legit if you could decide last minute and follow the snow

Go to Jackson. Rad terrain, and if you really want some dank pow, Targhee is just around the corner.

This. And you could always ski both. It's only a 5ish hour drive from SLC to Driggs. Wyoming would give you the best of both worlds because you have Jackson for good snow (so far this year) and crazy terrain, while Targhee will provide endless refreshments with no lift lines.

Utah doesn't have snow. But don't go to Jackson before the 3rd of January because I will be there and don't want other people stealing my snow... ;)

Go to Jackson. You wont regret it. The terrain is sick. Theres so much to choose from. I went there in February and it snowed at least a feet every day. Best mountain I've ever skied.

I would for sure go with Utah! it has all the different types of skiing you could want, sick rails and massive park jumps to deep powder and crazy cliff drops

i live in utah and i vote jackson. Utah has great skiing but jackson hole is amazing. Such a big mountain with amazing terrain. Fun town to hang in. You can always come to Utah some other time. With the proximity of the airport, a weekend trip out here is doable.

ohhh thats a tough one. when do you have to book by. if you're not booking till last minute, maybe check the conditions and weather systems coming through then make a choice. you're not going to go wrong with either, in my opinion. though my first inclination would be to choose Jackson, just because its a little tougher to get to (at least for us) and the town and mountains vibe is AWESOME!

If you can choose both and have the time, its a fun car trip. 2-3 years ago. Skied Utah 2 days, jumped the car, drove up to Jackson for 2-3 days, then drove down to Telluride, CO to catch a FWT event, before flying home out of Durango. great adventure.

As of right now, there's almost no snow in Utah. BUT Jackson opened up last month with 88 inches of snow. Shit could change by end of next month, but I'm not a gamblin man.
