US army corps of engineers poisoned the water wells in Cheyenne. -- 10 years ago, new report just came out

little background:

Trichloroethylene -- is a chlorinated hydrocarbon commonly used as an industrial solvent. It is a clear non-flammable liquid with a sweet smell. The effect of inhaling TCE vapors may have long lasting implications for

those with chronic exposure. A study done at the University of Kentucky

and released in 2007 suggested an association of Parkinsonism and

occupational TCE exposure

The National Toxicology Program’s 11th Report on Carcinogens

categorizes trichloroethylene as “reasonably anticipated to be a human

carcinogen”, based on limited evidence of carcinogenicity from studies

in humans and sufficient evidence of carcinogenicity from studies in

experimental animals

TCE contamination seems to be an issue lots of places are dealing with.

really makes you think how much shit are we going to find out about in 20 30 years time.
