the olenicks are cool. one time i was skiing and they were there. i approached them super cautious, but like they seemed like great guys. we talked a little. i mentioned something about how i like to ski backwards...i then saw the younger one trying to give it a shot, he was a little shaky, but i think he'll get it.

Exactly, over seven years ago. By 2002 he was doing frontside double to backside double linked in a pipe run.

Another example that us skiers still don't "own" snowboarders in halfpipe as much as we like to claim.

That sounds like a diss on skiers, which it's not supposed to be. Just a comment based on all the "skiers are so much better than boarders" rhetoric getting thrown around here all the time.

But anyways, mad props to Peter, can't wait to see the X pipe event this year.

The other thing I want to see is more good grabs, no more getting on the podium with only 2 grabs in a 5 hit run.
 
thats so ill, i love where pipe is going now with dub gnar flips and switch. for a while, the flair was king and there wasn't much progression.
