i honestly think that this website has played a very important role in expanding the market in freesking and introducing the sport to many kid and adult who take it to the next level. I know that this website introduced the sport to me and gave me a shit load of pointers. Did it do the same to any of you guys?
 
I agree. If it weren't for newschoolers I definitly wouldn't be as well informed about skiing as I am now. It taught me new tricks etc. Basically NS is the shit.
 
i found out about ns ( i knew about it but decided to try it) seeing a sticker on a kids helmet about a month ago. already i have met cool people and learned a ton. its really helping the sport and really joining free skiers together i think its great

i was demoing a pair of libertys the first year they were out (05?) i think i was 12, an the dude at the shop stand who was probably 60 was like "check out newschoolers.com for more skis" i was so ocnfused when i got on here first, and didnt even know about the threads untill a few months later, but it has honesstly changed my life. props ns
 
i completely agree..but besides from teaching me to ski better and such..it has successfully made me use up, not waste, countless hours of my time!
 
Haha, I know kids that have been on here for a while and had no clue that there were forums

kind of hard to miss, but all they would do is check out pictures and videos
 
Same. But I wouldn't have it any other way. I love this site, and if I had straight A's I would have gotten into some gay ass highly competitive college, but I am probably going to U of Utah now where I will get billions of days in next year and have the time of my life. Thanks NS. I love you.
 
lol berman introduced me to ns..i came on here and didnt get it and i just looked at videos as a guest then i made at an account and found the forums
 
yea my cousin. after i saw him 360 changed my life. i used to hate skiing now i love it i go up at least 2-3 times a week. and are mountain never closes!
 
same. i just dont like doing work anymore and be ns instead of projects...like i am now

plus, ive known about and been on ns for a couple years now but just joined as a member a few months ago i all of a sudden knw so much more about our freeski culture and also am at the best progression stage ive ever had
 
you know it does! and I would be getting so much more sleep without it. and probably better grades too haha. but it's amazingly informative, and so many threads and posts are hilarious.
 
i love ns. it has so much information on it so i can know whats going during my summer and on the other side of the world!

but i spend way to much time on here and my homework and shit doesn't get done... o well wouldn't have it any other way!!!
 
Threads like this always make my day!

Thanks guys, NS wouldn't be what it was without all of you. The thing that makes this site good is the people interacting with it. I know that sometimes it turns into bitchfests, but also there's an incredible amount of positivity and support.

Also, its wicked that you guys stick with us through all the changes that happen. I know that sometimes we fuck things up, but you're always understanding and willing to work with us to make it right.

Couldn't ask for a better community thats for sure!

 
this is definately one of the first threads, where I couldnt find one "fuck you and your fucking opinion" sentence. Untill NOW hahahaha. 

No, I love this site and I also have to add, that spending my time on NS.com is definately more useful than just hanging around and watching movies in that time. It defenately gives a good view on whats going on beyond the slopes of your home-mountain.

haha yea i got my account just to check out pics and vids, read whats going on front page thats about it, then i got more into it discovered threads and recently cults!! thats when my addiction begun of course when im not skiing ! its also great for when you're injured!! thank you ns!!
 
NS gives skiing the upper hand over snowboarding. we are so damn united by one single site, its incredible. how often do you meet a new skier at a comp or on your hill or someting that doesnt have a NS account? it almost never happens. snowboarding doesnt have anything like this, where the entire community is united. kuddos to NS for bringing us all together. its crazy to think about all the names everyone knows just because of NS. think about it...cedric, LJ, martini, wallisch, stepp, faturos, szczepan, cosco, keisel, we all know who all these people are and they are all blowing up simply cause of NS. its sick.

yeah i checked the pics and vids and nothing else for like one and a half years, i mean i knew about the forums but i'm from germany so my english sucked so i was thinking what the hell am i gonna do in an english speaking forum but my english got better and now i love it. but a thing is that i get some mad hit sometimes for having a low post count but what the hell, it doesn't say anything about what i know about skiing and stuff in my case... and then they came up with the karma system so again, props to you newschoolers

and yeah i learned soo much and newschoolers made my life better
 
yea ns is great... i met ppl from around here and learned lots of tricks and snowboarding is so overated ... its good to see so many people caring about skiing....
 
yeah, the other day in class, some kid i dont even talk to was like cool story hansel then i was like thanks olaf, and he just looked at me and was like newschoolers?!

im stoked haha
 
Do snowboarders have a site like NS, cause i kno i learned soo much about freeskiing here, and NS has educated me on how to hate, claim, and inform, and i wanted to know if there is a place like NS for boarders, cause i never hear any of my snowboarder friends talking about the "how do u get to chad's gap from the bottom of alta" threads or communicating with other shredders from around the world.
 
NS is the best source for skiing. The reports are always sweet and the pictures are great. If its looking for a laugh or a fight, I will find it here. Tanks all staff at NS!
