He changed the way people processed drums, and the overall rawness of his production on 36, Liquid Swords, 1st albums by Rae and Ghotst is unreal. When he started OD'ing on the cheesy midi keyboard beats and getting a little carried away, yeah, a lot of those beats were horrible. His sampling in the early days was always heavyweight.
Shit, the Ghost Dog score alone is legendary. You're hating, sir. He's got too many classics to count. Super simple beat, an instrumental from the movie and it fits perfectly
