WTT Canon 17-40L for Tokina 11-16 plus cash

Just wanna see if anyone's interested in a trade...

Turns out this lens isn't as wide as I'm going for (given that I'm shooting with a crop sensor)... Would like to trade ONLY for a Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 and about 150 cash (cash negotiable). sorry to thread jack and all but what did u think of that lens do u like it is it not wide at all i was jut interested because i was thinking about picking one up when i get my new camera
 
It's definately a great lens. L series glass is some of the best out there and this is a very good lens. Kinda shoots a little close in so I'd find myself standing farther away alot. This lens also is able to act as a standard focal length lens because it's a zoom (40x1.6crop=64mm). It really is a nice lens but I just want something a little more wide-angle. I know that paul (PBraunstein) shot alot of shit last year with the 17-40L and the 17 was plenty wide for follows. he also said that hes been using a 10-20 on 10mm more recently and says its a little easier but almost too wide.
 
Yeah I remember hearing that Paul shot with the 17-40 which ultimately swayed me into buying the lens off LBJJ but I often find myself getting a little too close in and ultimately losing some shots that would've turned out good otherwise. It's all preference and I've seen some very good stuff come out of the 11-16
 
I used to do follows with a 24mm on my t2i before I swapped to the narrower tamaron 17-50. I found 24mm doable, and I don't think I'd want wider than 17 to be honest. The problem with getting rid of your "normal" lens for the tokina would be a huge loss of available focal lengths and versatility.
 
Focal length isnt a major concern in my mind, given that I've only shot on 17mm ever since I got the lens.
