Wtf WSI big air judging...

Someone please correct me if I am mistaken, but didn't Tim get a score in the 80's for his super clean blunt dub 12, while Henrick got in the 90's for the same trick?

basically henriks was a little better and tim did his AFTER edollos so the judges are always gonna give a lesser score to a trick thats already been landed in the competition

I agree that Bobby's switch double misty isn't as cool looking as a nice dub 12 blunt, or vince gangiers bio 12 octo, but judges have to look at degree of difficulty. And the fact is that Bobby's trick is the hardest. That's why he won. There's nothing to complain about.

Show me footy of a 15 year old who can rodeo 12 octo. Actually, show me footy of anyone else in the world who can rodeo 12 octo.... so much for difficulty

good god people. Vincent's 12 was NOT BIO. he even said it himself during an interview, its a RODEO 12 octo.

vincent gagnier s trick was next level.

bio 12 leading octo....

so unreal...

lj got robbed so hard too.

jf had a really cool grab but fucked the landing a bit :(

seriously every one should be giving props to vinny...

the gagnier brothers are just too next level for skiing...

charles with his switch rodeo 5 pretzel 180 and vinny with bio 12 octo..

fuck off with that devils advocate bullshit.
you literally just made that up.
do you have access to the criteria with which the judges use to compare dub against dub, grab against grab, axis against axis, and all the combinations and permutations that are possible?
"the fact is that bobby's trick is the hardest". ha! source your 'fact'. and besides, with that logic, lj's dub 16 is the hardest, probably.
since the second part of your post isn't logical at all, all i take from your post is that bobby's trick doesn't look as nice. and i agree. thats why i don't think he had any business winning, hence the complaining.

im surprised so many people are stoked on vincents bio 12. i was stoked on his axis but i thought it looked like shit in the air. clean landing though.

my favorite trick was margetts' dub nine though.

hahah, are you new to skiing or something? good lord.

this complaint is just so superfluous now, style over technicality blah blah blah, the judges don't give two shits about style. contest skiing is straight up-who can be the most extreme and do it in the closest to perfect form..sounds familiar, right?

not to say i don't think there should be more emphasis on style, it's just a losing battle in a loser sport.

Who else have you seen do switch double misties. Carlson does shitty uninverted ones, but Bobby's trick is just as unique as Vincent's.

yea fuck that comp. First off, gus's dub 14 was not hucked, it was grabbed pretty good and landed so damn nice. And margetts had the stomp of the night on his dub 9, which is a damn hard trick; he should've made it into finals. Vincent got what he deserved, but LJ got a lil robbed, although his dub 16 got more hucked, it a fuckin dub 16!! If bobby brown had done that trick, he would've gotten 100. It's just so gay how rigged judging is these days. And bobby's trick was stomped so gay.

the landing and the deck for that jump were way too short for that caliber of comp, i thought someone was going to get hurt in the warm up. Glad they didn't.

I'm pretty sure Sammy and Bobby are the only people to do the dub mistys...and Andreas did double wobble 12s at X...

I think gagnier should have won, just cus I haven't ever seen someone hit that axis before. But I think Bobby deserved to be ahead of Henrik...

Tis, WSI has gone to such great lengths that theres even an ongoing assassination plot against mr. edollo

Holy crap thats scarry.

WTF at judging. Don't understand how some people made it in and didn't in the finals, like gus for example.

As for tricks, how does dub 12 mute beat dub 16 and sw dub 14 (LJ)?

And womens judging was also terrible bad, how does flat 7 missed grab get 5th, and how does switch 7 get 1st and 2nd while cork 7 gets third, or while a motionless sw zero gets last.

But stoked e'dollo finally gets on the podium. LJ should have got on the podium, and if I see bobby b do another mute grap I'm going to punch some one in the face.

I hope that was a joke, he was easily 100ft away if not farther from those firework, they were setting them off randomly after skiers hit the jump all night...

LJ's 16's were only grabbed for the first 7 or so. I'm glad he wasn't rewarded for that because once you start throwing big spins without solid grabs and win comps for it, soon enough people will just stop grabbing to get the extra couple rotations around to win comps.

as for the womens, that flat 7 wasnt landed very well, the cork 7 was sketchy, and the switch 7s were grabbed and fucking stomped.

also get real, when has a zero spin ever been rewarded in a big air? never. sure it's hard, but they are just never rewarded.

the fireworks were being shot up from the top corners of each side of the jump. kinda close if you ask me.

there was no fireworks on the lip they were next to the lip and set back, watch the downdays video, the lip has nothing on it

actually im wrong, they were like right behind the lip, still, probably a solid 50-100ft away tho.

Haha i remember when tanner won every comp with a switch rodeo 720. And i do mean EVERY comp. If its the best scoring trick people are gonna do it untill something else scores higher.

Big Air=Aerials Contestants know what scores well

soo..who was that (i'm assuming) japanese guy in there and how was he invited? doing a 9 tindy in a big air comp? is this 2003?

i can't believe i actually made it through that entire video haha.

bang on. its big air, of course the degree of difficulty is judged higher than style. that's just the way she goes
