why cant i buy skiers. ok so heres whats happening im buying them and then it doesent say i own them wtf. i dont really know anything about the stock exchange so please help me
 
If they are for sale at $100 per share and you offer $90 per share then they will go in your tabled orders, you won't buy them at that because nobody will sell them to you at $90, only $100.

If they went in your tabled orders say 100 shares @ $90 per share, and then someone put up a sell order for 100 shares at $80 per share, then the transaction will go through at $85..get it?

 
In other words, you can't buy until someone else sells. You put in an order for how many stocks you'd LIKE to buy, and the highest price you're willing to pay for them. But you don't actually buy those stocks until someone else chooses to sell theirs at a price that's at or below your maximum. Make sense?
 
I don't think it is working the way it says it is supposed to. It says stocks will be added each day. that is not happening from what I can tell .
 
that and for some reason my table is still showing stocks that ive sold, whereas before they were immediately gone....
 
Ah ok - i thought i was the only one thinking this..

There is no point issuing more stock at unrepresentative prices and whilst there are still bugs in the system, same goes for paying dividends
 
Yeah many of them aren't representative of their true values - which is why you need to be careful what you buy and at what price..It's likely all the shares which are overprices will drop in value dramatically and if you have paid too much for something then you are potentially SOL
 
Not for now.. until there is more stocked issue the values are going to continue to soar. laws of supply and demand.
 
Yeah considering that so many people are cheating the system is getting seriously revised, cheaters will be punished, and inevitably its seems as this is more of a beta testing period than anything.
 
Hey guys,

We are working on fixing the cheating issues with the SSE. An update should be posted soon, and the artifically increased stocks will be reset.

All transactions are logged, and members who cheated will be removed from the game.

scrolling up to date thing at the top doesnt show all skiers... some are off the screen.

graphs don't work

i've been consistently offering about 50% more than the approx. value of a skier (with no other buy offers) and my order remains tabled... any reasons why?
