marijuana helps support the local economy, if it was legal, big companies would commercialize it, putting all the local dealers out of business, then they would raise the prices to an insane amount, would that make you happy?

second of all, i know what the fuck marxism means, and i bet i know a lot more about it than you do. The government can control the economy. I don't know about you, but i have never heard of a conservative communist. I don't want to hate on anyone, i just can't figure out sometimes how people can have a republican view, when they have studying history, reading, and seeing the trends of history...not to mention, the way our country is going to hell. And yes i know that our economy is doing well and blah blah blah ...but you must be blind if you can predict what our current administration is doing to the US, and the world for that matter.
 
im so boggled by this statement i don't know how to respond.(this is not a personal attack on you.) you are funding illegal drug trafficking, and supporting kids dropping out of school to sell herb. which also leads to gangs, and all associated crimes with that.

and if it is ever legalized. which it wont be. then it will just become like big tobacco, and become a endless lawsuit.

I'm not even going to read all of that because you're so mislead its not even funny, you do realize that communism is a Utopian idea which will probably never work right? wait wait wait....what kind of ski gear do you have? i assume you buy flashy gear just like everyone else? You have no idea about Marxist principles if you own flashy expensive ski shit, and thats just the start of it...im sure you dont follow many other ideals either.

actually i don't own any flashy expensive "ski shit".....last two years i haven't bought any new ski gear...and i go skiing when i get free passes from school...not to mention i haven't been able to ski much since i switched to cross country, which has a much more marxist air, no massive company owns where i go skiing. Like i said before, i don't want to hate on you, calling you bad for supporting ski areas or anything like that, i understand that no one likes a marxist point of view.
 
And my third and final post in this thread for now, because I've wasted far too much of my time here already, this is pretty much exactly correct. Hate on other peoples' beliefs all you want, but what it comes down to is that people are greedy and your entire philosophy can not and will not ever work.

This country may be in rough shape, but it's not all bad, and it's a helluva lot better than the situation of any communist state you'd care to name.
 
if they were smart, they would realize that if the government legalized marijuana, they could tax it and make some good scrilla, but republans still think its bad. alcohol is worse. some teachers at our school told us they would rather have us blaze than drink

The age-old argument: I can enjoy life as is, too. I can ski. I can hang out with friends. I can listen to music. Just like you can. That is what you call enjoying life "as is". One of the activities I choose to pursue in addition to and often in combination with those listed above is smoking. It's simply another way that I choose to enjoy my life. It's illegal for various reasons, most of which are not legitimate when you consider that both alcohol and tobacco, both far more dangerous, have been and will continue to be legal.
 
a state doesnt necessarily reference a state of the united states, it can be any governing body over any territroy
 
Perhaps my terminology was bad, I apologize. My point was: Communism has never been successful. All you have to do is glance at its principles and you'd know that it actually cannot work, simply due to human nature. Try responding to the rest of my post instead of the one part where you can catch me on a technicality.

Oh, and it sucks someone called you on weed, I'd be ripshit... who does that?
 
One of the main reasons it's illegal and alcohol isn't is because it's already illegal; therefore making it possible to maintain the status quo. Alcohol, when made illegal (prohibition) caused such an uproar that they could NOT change the status quo successfully.

Another reason is that, how many of you that smoke do it for reasons other than getting high? I'm pretty sure the point of smoking is to get the high that comes with it. As I've said before, the beer, on the other hand, that my father had at dinner the other night, was NOT to get him drunk. When abused, yes it is more dangerous, but it's something that isn't necessarily a tool to change your state of mind. This, being another example, is why alcohol is legal and pot is not.
 
Wow, that's the first legitimate anti-pot-legalization point I think I've ever read. That being said, it's so much easier to abuse alcohol than pot that the argument really doesn't hold too much water.
 
i understand what you're trying to say, and i agree that it probably could never work due to human nature, but that doesn't keep me from believing in it, and disagreeing with republican points of view
