WTF Pokemon

my only beef with pokemon is the new ones after 151. I'll also except the additional ones from gold and silver but after that...they are complete shit.

Though you have to hand it to the creators...the series still lives on...and for a person to pick up a pokemon game from when they played it 10 years ago and remember it like it was yesterday....they did something right.

 
It's so true, the games with the original 151 were the best. Also, they seem to have completely abandoned the original idea of "gotta catch 'em all!" judging by the fact that there are now like 500 pokemon.

I miss those days when it used to be just yellow, red, and blue with the 150 pokemon + that absolutely ridiculous glitch that got you Mew. It didnt actually take that long to go through the game and beat the elite four. The real challenge was getting all of those damn pokemon.

Sidenote: I definitely spent way too much of my time in that goddamn safari zone trying to get those pokemon that you couldnt just use a masterball on.
 
This. Bought the Silver game for DS, it was okay. Found Pokemon Blue, put in a GameBoy colour, and it took me straight back to the good old days. The old ones are so much more raw and hyphy. And the 8bit music is amazing.

If you're not playing Red, Blue, Silver or Gold, then GTFO

Clocked over 100hrs on my Blue, caught 'em all. I'm at the stage where I can beat the Elite 4 with 1 pokemon /claim
