I'm at work and everyone is talking about this. I'm trying to fit in but idk what this stuff is. What are some cool things to say to chirp in and be part of the group?

It had so much potential, but rather than fix bugs they chose to add micro transactions and skins that nobody wanted. The new maps are cool, but we want optimization. Game runs like garbage on my rig, even ark runs better than it sometimes. And Ark is a dumpster fire. I wish they would fix things, shooting a gun has never felt so satisfying in a game as it has in PUBG

I mean, every fps copied counter strike, pubg/fornite made a better Arma mod/h1z1 mod that everyone has downloaded and played, they clearly did something right...
 
I dont know but I’m pretty sure I let my boyfriend buy it with my debit card?

Every FPS copies counterstrike? What? H1z1 was never objectively more popular then arma 2, it might have been for like maybe 2 months. But shit died quick.
 
People who say "PUBG is better" are actually saying "No no, I actually have even fewer friends than you thought I did."

Go add up ALL arma2 concurrent players ove rtime and then go add up h1z1 players on steam charts. Youre clearly wrong

My point was that every game mode has "been done" its the gameplay that makes it different.

I would disagree with that but I think we have different taste of video games so I’m not going to argue with you on that. My point is that battle royale’s are generally a toxic thing because they don’t really bring anything new to the table. With all these fad games like Minecraft and such, they at least made it creative enough he’ll minecraft was actually a cool idea and fostered a super healthy modding community. even overwatch bought back the arena genre in an interesting way. But pubg is just a stripped down buggy shooter, and fortnite is just a YouTube cash grab game.

Maybe try COD or Battlefield when their BR modes come out, IMO battle royal is my favorite style of game. I used to be really into CS and i bought PUBG in the early access over a year ago and loved it from the start. Yes its buggy, but the shooting mechanics are very good and I'm a big fan of the gameplay, these are obviously my opinions but when you find the game you like I feel like you'll have a different view of BR.

Also you should give fortnite bit more credit, they have created a free game that anyone can play that runs smooth on all mediums, the battle pass stuff is how games work these days and they have taken advantage of that. The fact its so hot on youtube/twitch speaks for itself, epic games is crushing it.

Pubg has the best gunplay I’ve ever experienced. In no other game does it feel as satisfying to shoot somebody as it does in pubg for me. I don’t reallly know why

The only battle royale I remotely enjoyed was Darwin project. And I’m probably not gonna buy the new battlefield anyway, the only game I’m looking forward to right now is monster hunter world for pc. And no I’m not going to give respect to fortnite whatsoever. IMO The only way fortnite got popular was because of ninja.

And the YouTube content for fortnite is basically like watching crappy react or stupid prank videos, and a few funny things I’ll admit, I watched one where a guy tried to cover the whole crater on the map with floors, but those videos are, well were far and between.

I think you're ignoring a huge segment of fornite players and thats hard core gamers. Sure tons of kids play it, ninja made it very popular for sure, but 125 million people man, a small fraction of that are people who play the game very competitively and its pretty legit as an esport. There is plenty of shit fornite content but its still a very legit game.
