Whats up with pre paid sims in Canada being so expensive. $25 CAD for 1Gb of data is a fucking robbery. I'm getting 10GB for 25$ CAD at home.

Anyone know a the best cheap option for getting data in Canada?

Why is there a Tim Horton's literally in every city, gas station, street corner, exit and house in Canada?

Aight im just gonna live off the free wifi on resort and cafes nearby. I’ll specifically be in Fernie, any of yours know if there’s a timmys or good café’s in town?

Are you from the states? If so just go to your mobile carrier store and get the international roaming package. It's not super cheap either but you can get voice, text, and data for $50 or whatever.

No unfortunately I’m from the upside down half of the globe. My provider wants to charge 50c per mb for international roaming which equals $500 for 1gb.

It's the Dunkin of Canada but even more culturally significant.

Yeah OP, data and mobile plans in Canada are ridiculous. Cheapest is to get a plan with public mobile. $15 for 250 MB, unlimited calling and texting. It might be a bit harder to find a place that sells their cards. You just have to get the card then set it up online. Or just go to a fast food place or the library.
