Wtf ipod

i just got a new ipod video and the thing won't turn off when i hole down the paly/pause button, is there some trick im just not doing thats neccessary to turn it off?

Yeah, it happens, just reset it by holding menu and select, and it will work after that.

my bad i thought he said it won't turn on. i've had that problem sometimes to it will go on pause but it just own't go off. change the settings so it displays the "sleep" option on the mainscreen and use that when it won't go off by simply holding pause.
