i was looking into going to college at wou, and the closest resort is hoodoo? anyone got any info they can tell me about it, cause i dont plan on hating my ski season if i go there. thanks

yeah, little ma and pa resort, night skiing, i've heard they can have ok snow sometimes, not that good of a park, go to bachelor instead, you'll find a park and powder...

ya i know bachy is the balls, but i heard its kinda a long drive from wou and id be trying to save gas money

Hoodoo is all right, but you'll know most of the mountain by the end of your first day there. It's small, and every time i've been there there's only one small park, typically with a couple rails, and a small jump or two. Most of the runs are fun and sometimes get powder, but they aren't especially big or challenging. You should have no trouble finding seating in the lodge, I never have. It's a nice place, just small. Really good for beginners, I did alot of my early skiing there, and I still go every now and then when I'm in the area.

You should try to go out to hood or bachelor some weekends, cause you'll probably get bored at hoodoo if you're there all season. Make some friends with houses in govy or bachelor village.

Hoodoo from WOU is probably the closest area, but you'd be better off just going to Hood. Bachelor is sick but you got to drive over two passes to get there and it is a gas guzzler. Hood is pretty much all freeway driving.

Hood will be easier to get to from WOU. Like said above its all highway driving and you dont have to pass through so many small towns. That being said if there is a good powder day I'll ditch class and head up to Hoodoo.

the tree and glade skiing is excellent and the snow is drier than hood. lift tickets are $20 on tuesdays. Some fun cliffs and you can lap the same runs all day all by yourself. 95% of people who ski there are beginners so they stay on the groomers and leave you the good stuff. At least check it out once or twice this year but make sure they have some powder

I go to wou and the drive to hood isnt bad its like 2 and a half hours or so. never been to hoodoo though but sounds decent if they get snow. a lot of people get passes to hood too so there's always places to get rides.
