Wtf armada

The powder/big mountain/backcountry market is showing the greatest amount of growth in the industry right now. While everything else is hovering around the same numbers, that market is growing like crazy. It's still a niche, but a quickly growing niche.

Thing is, who do you think of when you think of big mountain/backcountry. The brands get pretty gnarly, less known, less fashionable. Black Diamond, Dynafit, Cloudvale... Not exactly brands that a 20 year old thinks to go and buy. Armada is capitalizing of this. Beginning to make very tech lines for the under 30 crowd.

Also, it seems their outerwear is a little bit of a throwback. Toned down colors and designs. I'm not all that sad to see the neons going out.

People complaining about this lineup are disgusting. If I had some more disposable income right now I'd buy a pair of skis and a jacket. Fuck you all.

Because of this thread I never even checked their site for this years gear and now I'm glad I did, it looks 10x better than any of their lineups in recent years imo. Finally no random ass galactic space patterns and neon shit everywhere.

It's amazing how much you guys care when it comes to outerwear and graphic designs.

If I had the money, I'd probably choose a whole entire Armada set up to suit what I do. Just to try it out.

I love the art on the skis this year, I love how they're showcasing the artists too. More companies need to start promoting the artists that do their graphics.

I've seen all their line up, some of their outerwear too.

They got it all right, they know what they're doing.

The Norwalk looks like an amazing ski, I really want to try it this year. I hope to see people skiing it this year instead of being wishy washy on steep lines with the JJs.

Armada has grown big, and I don't think it would have happened if something wasn't right.

I'm just curious on why it seems Henrik Harlaut loves his ARV's so much. I'm not criticizing them at all, I'm just curious on what makes them his ski of choice recently.

I just heard that the full sandwich construction and butteryness reminds him of his old 9s, not sure how true this is though.

i have to say that watching the new TC with Henrik made me not want to buy anything, as far as outerwear goes, from armada

a part from them having 3 pow skis

really diggin the pattern prints on the skis

-fell in love with the halo's and alphas, the norwalks are cool too

as on the outwear : no comment

Honestly the three new pow ski's fill holes in their lineup.

Norwalk = Directional 5 point pow ski for people that don't like the JJ.

Magic J = Wider JJ with a more reasonable turn radius, and a little extra float.

Bubba = Replaces the ARG ends up being more reasonable than a full Reverse/Reverse pow ski.
