WTB: moment tahoe

im looking to purchase the moment tahoe, also looking for some information on them i want some input how do people like thiers that sort of thing. are they noodly, i hear they tear up the mountain, how do they do in the fluffy stuff. im probably going to school in NH or VT and these seem like the perfect skis for me.

im 6ft

230lbs (HUSKY NOT FAT)

and thats about it

I've got them in a 180, i'm 6ft - 185lbs, they are sick - quick review:

I'm skiing them at the recommended line of -6 from center and I like them more and more every day I get on them. They have a

big twin, short turning radius but they make any turn size and can

absolutely RAIL turns on the hardpack. Heavy crud they get bounced a

bit because they are so light but today in the light chop they just

plowed right through which was impressive. Good float and just a

very solid overall ski. I bought them for mid-atlantic/park/lighter

days (won't be in the park unless it's a shit day, I also plan on

picking something up a tad wider and longer at some point like the ruby

or possibly bro for everyday) which is why i went 180, I would

recommend going 188 if it will be an every day all mtn. because of the

big twin and forward mount but man is this ski growing on me. I can

honestly say I think the tahoes are the PERFECT east coast ski and

highly recommend them.

no question you should be on the 188's. Enjoy

your going to have a very hard time findings anyone who wants to give up their pair..but ask for an invite to the moment skis cult..i wrote review on both the rubies and tahoes..the 190 rubies(next year) may be exactly what you want.

what to shoot me that review for next year's 190 rubies? Very interested in them/m1ish/bro/prophet100 as my everyday for next year...

I havent skied them yet, but they are supposed to have a flat tail and stiffer flex, with the added length.

Im hoping I can get on a pair of 182 M1s later in the season. And I have some 179 BROs you can try out if youre ever around Gore, Magic, Jay, etc.

I missed you last weekend but will let you know, I should be back up that way within the next 30 days or so. Didn't know the M1 would be a low 180's ski for next year - looking for something probably 183 - 190ish (upper 180s with a modern mount), 99+ underfoot and stiff for my everyday...I don't need to decide now but would love to have everything lined up for the beginning of next year

thanks for all the input guys, i knew it was a real shot in the dark to find someone that would want to give them up. i guess i was more looking for some info and first hand experience on the skis.

for you guys that have ridden them / are riding them. how is the durability, how is the customer service ive heard it was dope. also any idea on when 09's are going to be up for sale. im just trying to get all my bases covered because this will probably be the last ski i purchase while being that im going to be a broke college student.

thanks

-Nick

Cust service = excellent - durability also seems to be bomber with all moment skis from every review I've read. 90% of my time is spent in the woods if there is any cover at all, i've hit more than a few rocks, stumps and downed trees and I have surface scratches only with MINIMAL edge damage - nothing a quick sharpening wouldn't fix. I have no doubt you'll love these things for the ice coast and if you can wait until next year's version comes out do it, if not, no regrets getting them early. Not to make the decision harder but there also might be a slightly wider ski for next year (like the low 180's M1 mentioned above) that you might be interested in as well...

FYI 09 tahoe protos from TGR:
