WTB: Help me pick out some skis

So I've decided that this year I need to man up and ski something that is actually close to my height. I'm about 190cm and 160 lbs and i've been skiing 175ish skis for the past three years, and I need a change. I ski Tahoe, mostly kirkwood and squaw, I'd say I'm 50% off trail, 40% on trail, and maybe 10% park when I go with my brother's boarder friends. I like to go fast, so I'm looking for something about 185-190cm and decently stiff. Nothing too park oriented, but I will probably mount close to center because of the length and hey, who doesn't like skiing switch on groomers...

I'm looking at these skis so far:

187 MSP's

188 Lib Tech NAS

190 First Bloods (I know nothing about this ski, but the dimensions seem cool)

Any suggestions or skis for sale would be awesome.

Also maybe Tha 187.

Gotama.

And I know there ws never that much hype about them, the Mojo 105 from last season. That ski was so awesome.

Hm, there are some 105's out there for a good price.... I dunno though, I was thinking something more like 90-100 waist max. In my dreams I can afford another soft pair of something 110-115ish...

i love my ants, but that's a big step. maybe check out some salomon guns in 188. k2 seth in 189 is an awesome everyday ski. msps are probably my no. 1 or 2 favorite ski of all time, so the 187 msp is always going to get a vote from me as well.

Yeah, I like the sound of the msps... I skied my 06 vct's a few days this season, and I trust 4frnt to make an awesome ski. Now where to find a pair...

Oops, guess I was looking at last years. I dunno, the 104 waist on the VCT's wasn't too big for everything I guess, I'd just rather something a little quicker edge to edge. And I'd rather buy from a smaller ski company, the popularity of gotama's kinda bugs me. The fact that Head makes tennis rackets makes me wonder, but the 105's do look pretty nice. Have you skied them?

the popularity of gotamas should tip you off. people don't love them unconditionally because they suck, y'know?

Yeah I've demo'ed the 105. They absolutly killed it in the deep stuff and they felt super solid going fast. If you've ridden the Mojo 80 or 90 the 105 will be very similar. Pretty much just fatter and stiffer. they may not be the best ski for groomers or in the park, or actually I'm not sure. I was lucky enough to only use them in powder/chunder but my guess would be they wouldnt be the greatest on groomers.

Hah, I know man, but it's no fun when you have the same ski as every rich 50 year old wannabe who just got off straight skis. I feel like there are a few other skis that would be just as popular if they had the promotion.

Oh, and thanks for posting live auctions. People love it when you do that. But anyways, you say those are first year ninths? They only started making skis in 06? Whoa.

they both have buy-it-now and have been relisted several times in the last few weeks. i'm sure if someone was waiting to snipe them they would have by now. i know the rules for posting ebay stuff dude. i almost picked up a pair of 187's though that's a damn good deal for what i hear is a sick ski.

i think 187 MSP's sound like a good choice. My 180's are still hanging in there from 03/04 and due to base/edge damage they have been retired to rock ski status but i still love the way they ski.
