WTB: Anthems

I'm getting Anthems, but I don't know waht size to get them in. I'm 5,8".

I have 161 Invaders now, but I'm afraid if I go to 171 it will be harder to spin and just overall ski.

I personally say 179 b/c they will be centered and feel alot shorter

you should be on like sme 163-168...but since anthems are center 171 is perfect.

it depends on how strong you are. personally, i would choose a longer ski for stability landing and whatnot over ease of spinning. you're the same height as me, and i ride 178-185 in all my skis. if you're and okay skier, don't be afraid to step it up. you'll probably be happy with 171 anthems. how much do you weigh?

you are a pretty skinny kid. but yes, 171 anthems should be just about perfect skis for you. you'll appreciate the extra lenght compared to your last skis. trust me.

Not sure if it helps but......

I'm 5'6, 125 pounds, and was riding 153cm invader minis at the begining of the year. They broke, and I had a real tough time deciding between 161 and 171 anthems. I was scared the 171 would be way to heavy to spin and stuff, but eventually decided it was the right choice. After center mounting them, I can't beleive I even considered going any shorter. They feel perfect, and everything's more stable. Spinning isn't any hard either for me. The extra weight and length makes it a little harder to wip them around really quick off little bumbps, but the momentum makes up for it when you spin off anything more than 5ft.

i went from a 165 to a 171 and its not that big of a difference if their centered. youll get used to them fast i hated it at first but now i love it

so go for it
