WTB a very good helmet. willing to pay.

My grandpops is buying me a helmet for my birthday and my parents are telling me to choose as good of a helmet as I can with a limit (i'm guessing) around 80 bucks. i can get it from anywhere online. where does this great helmet live? this is a rare moment where i get to look for whats actually high quality and not necessarily mad cheap. + karma for help
 
Smith Variant Brim + Phenoms = $

I tried one on at the store and the adjustable draw inside gives the most comfortable feel I've ever had. Even better then the Bern I have with the full hatgear thing inside.

Or go bern, those look dope too
 
Anything Smith with Phenoms is so sick. They fit so well together.

There are many excellent helmets you can find for $80 right now. My personal list for helmets would be:

1) Smith Variant (Brim optional)

2) Giro G10 (MX optional)

3) Burton Hi-Fi

4) Smith Hustle (next year's updated version between a holt and variant)

Some will get upset with me about this, but I think Berns are a piece of crap compared to the higher end Giro or Smith helmets. I do realize they are price point helmets and have great style for the price, but you stated you were looking for a high quality helmet. While it is true that most helmets over $75 all offer negligibly different protection, they still feel different. Anyway, scout around, you'll find what you are looking for.
 
Ask if they'd be willing to invest in a helmet you could use for everything. POC made this helmet called the receptor which is certified for skateboarding, kayaking, skiing, biking, etc. I have the brown one and it is amazing how solid this thing is. good luck picking a helmet.

na thats one of the best helmets on the market im about to get that another good helmet that i have personally used is the giro omen
 
R.E.D HIFI definatly maybe a little higher then 80$ but if its safety parents will usually pay more, it is soo light and looks awsome fits great with goggles def the best helmet out there
