WTB: 189 Made'n AK

ya im 6' 170 lbs and id ski the 179. Why the hell would you want a 189. All itd be good for is pretty much going straight. What the hell is it with people and going like 190. Its stupid you dont need a ski that long anymore. Thats why they came out with fat skis, to go shorter and still have the flotation.

haha, 179 is wayyy too short for you.

what's with all these kids going short? if you're strong enough to handle it, why not have the added length for stability? longer skis are more fun.

79's are fun for pretty much everything if you're 5'10" to 6'0" but the 89's are still pretty fun while being a lot more stable.

I appreciate your input guys, but I already know what size ski I want. I am pretty confident in my ability to handle a large ski. I would love kingswoods, but I am going to use this ski in the park, and I really couldn't ever bring myself to use such a beautiful ski on rails.

And Sean, I know you know what's up, but do you think got's would hold up as well as the made'ns in the park?

i actually think madens would be the better choice if you're going to take them in the park. they do ski well, but personally i'm not a huge fan of soft skis in deep snow.

gotamas are stiffer and would be the better choice for charging/skiing big lines/stuff like that.

i'd go with the madens. how much park do you plan on skiing with them? i'd say mount no further forward than +10 for park only, no further back than +5 for skiing only forward, and somewhere in between for a combo.

by the way, what is your bootsole length? you'll have to try my on3p's next year.

Well, they are gonna be my all around ski for mammoth (niklas didn't want matt to use my graphic, and even though I finished it, I didnt get paid, hence no other skis). So if there is powder, I'll be there, but if its a few days old and completely tracked, I'll be in the park. I charge pretty hard out of the park, but I really don't ski any big "lines".

And I'm for sure down to try the on3ps, my boot is a 27.5 (317 sole)

i'm 325mm so it will all work out.

i don't know what your money issue is, but it's hard to have one ski that does everything well. to excel in one area, you have to sacrafice in another. for myself i'd have some ANTs for charging, and some 180 surfaces for skiing park. ski pow on the ANTs all morning, and when it's completely tracked out at 1:00, go to the truck and grab the surfaces. if you're tight on money, that isn't an option.

and what graphics were they? were they the black and white ones that were on the skis at SIA? those aren't going to be used anymore?

i found the ski that does anything and everything

... its the 189 seth.

and whats this graphic ur talkin about freezed

who did u design a graphic for freezed?????????

i wish they made a 199 seth!!! someone at k2 relay that.
