looking for mainly fks/pivots and px/axials. Will also consider jesters if you can let them go for 100. Will not consider anything else by marker. Will not consider any tyrolia bindings at all. I will consider sth with the driver toe.

I'm located in the US.

why? They lack the durability issues of the Marker royal bindings, have the highest range of release motion of any alpine bindings (that's right, more than FKS actually).

They have one of the longest/widest mount patterns, which means they see less torque when turning wide skis, and can be mounted on skis with previous mounts easier than other bindings(especially FKS).

The best part though? You can get them pretty cheap, even the 18din version.

Besides the Rossignol PX series, they are definitely my favorite bindings, I think you should consider them as well.

I blew out a tyrolia binding when I use to race but never had a problem with look bindings. I haven't tried marker out yet but I know that the plastic in the heel piece in the griffon do break and it has happened to friends of mine. If I get the jester that would solve the weak plastic risk.

The Jesters have the exact same problem, The tiny square of plastic that connects the toe piece to the baseplate. Between me and my buddy Phil, we probably go through 5 pairs of Jesters a season.

The only reason I have any Jesters anymore is because the demo versions are the least shitty demo binding available, and I like to loan out skis to friends.

P.S. if you had one of the older pivot tyrolias, a failure makes sense, the newer models are bomber. The fact that you think a Jester is more durable pretty clearly demonstrates you don't have a clue.

I haven't bothered to look into tyrolia since I blew out the pivot heel. Maybe I will now try tyrolia. I should be able to find pivots for $100 when I can get them for $200 brand new.

I love the pivots, but without purchasable brakes, I refuse to buy them. If you break a brake, it takes about 80 bucks and two months to get it fixed, and its extremely hard to find used pairs. and since I run inserts on all my skis so I can swap 2 pairs of bindings between 8 pairs of skis, it makes sense to be able to switch brakes easily.

Plus, the short mount pattern means more breakage.

check my thread...can have them shipped out first thing tomorrow.

not listed in there is a old pair of fkx pro's i just got. if you're interested in those
