WSI stompede

i heard the course was pretty laaame and was hard to get speed for almost everything.

it was a fairly lame event I have to say, no huge airs or anything too cool, a switch backflip and a misty or something like that as well as a hucked 1080 were thrown, that's about it.

WSI is a two week event. this last weekend was the rail session and stompede (slopestyle) then this upcoming weekend is Halfpipe, Super hit, and big air.

It was pretty tough for everyone to get speed because of the new snow. It was a pretty compact setup and would have been better had it been on a steeper slope. If it were in the HL park on Blackcomb though, no one would have cleared the jumps. Just a shame people couldn't have got more speed.

On the plus side powder off the peak was awesome.

it was a compact course, with a jump thing, then option of hip/a frame rail or flat box or hip/log jib then it went into a cbox or a box over a channel, which was usually death. it was snowing hard every now and then. they couldnt even run the snowboarders on friday

riley killed it, fo sho.

but yeah, definitly good to see lesser-known kids getting some love for once, they definitly definitly earned it and made some of the bigger names reevaluate their celebrity, i reckon.

only thing that was lame, was the lack of speed made it next to impossible for people to have creative lines.

Riddle and gagnier were my favorite runs but yea everyone in the top 7 threw down.

Course was lame and you had to skip features to hit some others...

unfortunatley everyone came in thinking it was going to be a BIG event. The course was super short and really flat. the fist jump was maybe 20 ft long, and no speed to clear it. then there was a left sided hip with a log jib that no one could hit. next to it was a takeoff to send it over the hip like a table, but no one could keep the speed for it.

left feature was a "A" rail that you could maybe clear, or a table takoff that was next to impossible to clear.

then there was a gap to wide box...pretty mellow, then the qp channel box that only like 2 people could hit.

You could have thrown a snowball from the top of the course to the bottom...I wish i got my money back and didnt enter. Mind you the highlight of my day was afterwards, me and Hibbert went and hucked bomb tram off of peak chair...30 ft to knee deep tranny. It was SICK.

more specifically are you talking like skiers left in the PC or skiers right like off the end of the coffin or something?
