its cool when judges give a guy who landed 1 out of 2 runs 3rd place over a guy who landed the same trick as well as one other one.

its also cool when they give the kid who didnt fall once and did better runs then the first place winner and gets 7th.

need i say that they gave the only girl who did a 270 onto the box and tried other stuff then skiier slides 4th when the winner just straight slid everything.

tosh:

lip 270 on 270 out (popping onto the beginning of the rail, no one lip 270's onto the beginning, everyone goes mach 10 and lands 3/4's of the way down), sw on 630 out, sw butter onto the wallride, all super solid and stylie...7th place

bibby:

540 and 720 tail taps on the log jib, the only competitor to do them, also a hardway (non-lip) nollie onto the down rail where neither the judges or announcer recognized it and they just said "bibby standing up straight on the rail to show he's in control"...didn't make top 10

margetts:

right 270 on, left 270 on tamedog (frontflip) out, huuuuge cork 3 off the wallride...didn't make top 10

those three people got 7th and under...i know that comps don't always go the same way as everyone thinks they should, but i thought those people should get some major recognition for killing it very very hard in my and many other peoples opinions (apparently not the judges).
 
i kinda think i should have done better but its all gravy.

i mean fuck-n-a i am 16 and just got a top ten finish at a comp who's acronym starts with world. the course was bomb and i skied well. what more would i want. i really hope they at least show my runs somewhere cause that was some good skiing for me.
 
yes i could claim it harder and it would be well warranted. all im saying is thats a good finish for me and im not gonna let a judging controversy ruin the fact that i skied well for myself.
 
yea tosh you killed it, and no one mentioned the switchup that you grabbed on the gap between the flat box and the down box. It was definetly one of the sickest moves I saw in the few minutes I watched the competition

shut the fuck up, he skied better than most of the people and he knew it, he wasn't saying FUCK WSI I SHOULD'VE WON THAT SHIT IM NEVER GOING AGAIN he was just saying he was a little surprised the fact that he got beat out by 6 skiers when he did better tricks than them.
 
dude this thread is kind of about my finish and thats how i feel about it. fucking stocked on how i skied and the judges cant change it. get over it.
 
ur a fucking fag that kid slayed the whole course. But apparently its a crime to be proud of the way u skied and u should just be emo and think that u suck all the time. and yeah lots of people are good and many of the good people beat him and most of them deserved it but he also deserved to get a better result
 
theres nothing wrong with being proud and i never said that. i said u dont have to announce it to everyone that u thought u should have done better
 
tosh is the only kid i have seen with proper lip 270s, im not naming names but other kids trying this trick couldnt get it over the rail and were just tapping the end.

bibby did hardway nollie and got called out for reg slide

margetts did right 270 proper on the down rail and the announcer talked about some random shit, didnt even look like the judges were watching

what do they want from these kids? what place does a "solid stock run" have at a rail jam let alone first on the podium.

if any of you kids hating on tosh were actually there you would realize hes got a pretty laid back reaction considering how hard the kid got ripped. im just glad that everyone realizes it
 
Tosh, way to go, your run sounded sick! As Papasteeze says, and I have to agree with, you're time is coming soon.

And for everyone else, shut the fuck up, its not claiming when you state what you did on your run and how stoked you were to be there.

If you saw the fucking competition you would understand that Tosh's comment was in no way boasting or gloating. Tosh deserved a much higher placing than he received, and I definitly don't understand how he could have placed with the runs he was throwing down.

And seriously, nina should've podiumed that's fucking stupid.

The only cool WSI I remember was that one a few years ago where Turpin was tearing up the pipe with switch runs and it was misty as hell... but people were going absolutely huge. Ok, I've got to pull that video out of the archives, hang on.
 
haha all he was saying is that he felt like he skied well and is stoaked being overly modest is the most cocky thing u can do sometimes its good that he's bein straight
 
It seems like Virginie Favre, Sarah Burke, and Grete all land on the podium in every single ski event. Every girls comp results I see, I see those three always at the top. Nina shouldve won that girl kills it.
 
seriously, the rankings dont do justice to how well some dudes skied,

tosh did ski really well and should have placed wel too

phil casabin had a killer last run and totlayy owned everyone else on the steeze part

I dont wanna sound like an ass but some people on the top 10 totally didnt deserved it when you were there compared to some others

(bibby, margetss are good example.)

the level was just so damn hight and the fact that nobody di similar runs prolly mde it so hard for the judges.

I'd really like to see what the scores were for each runs

too bad they wouldnt show that
