WRX STI

my neighbors buddy has one, he has the thing pimped out, he tossed in that stabilzer under hood? and a roll bar/stabilzer behind front seats and I think one in rear. I don't know shit about cars sorry.

.................at that point I started to cry...mainly 'cause I sat on my balls. I banged this chick so hard one time..she had to adjust her cant.
 
before I say anything, here's my disclaimer: I have never driven a WRX, so all of this is what i've heard people say.

That said, I've heard the tranny is pretty close ratio. If you're gonna be doing mostly regular road driving or WRC kinda shit, I've heard to stick with the stock tranny. But I've also heard that the revs are getting pretty high up there at not so high speeds. Maybe consider a tranny swap with a high performance one? Like I said, this is what I've heard.

ok, don't do the CF trunk/spoiler. that ruins the look of the car in my opinion. also, don't EVER do any of that sideskirt bullshit...... it's great for street looks, but you get on a dirt road/snow, and it blows.

the STI should already have the STI-RA gearset in it, which is pretty much the strongest gearset subaru produces.

interior mods look good. power mods look good. it should already be on the best STI suspension, so suspension upgrades aren't too important........

put a rear differential protector on it. it's like 70 bucks, but it'll keep shit from blowing up the rear diff.

if you've got the money, rally-armor the entire car. scratches, and rust = out of the question.

keep the BBS rims it comes with. they look sick.

put a thule ski rack on it, with the faring.

i think you said something about an exhaust...... wait a while on that. don't rice the thing out with a huge system..... STI's sound pretty good stock. instead, spend that money on a stereo system. or on a driving class....... i don't know how old you are, but a 2 day driving school course is a good investment.

buy yourself a SCCA membership....... and go RALLY!

and, i wouldn't upgrade the BOV. a loud blowoff is really cool when you're showing off for friends, but will drive you insane anywhere else.

sti's come stock with the sti short throw the one that you can buy is for the wrx.

I'll drive it untill the wheels fall off, then I'll buy new wheels!

there is absolutely no way that that car only costs 25k. even a used STI will cost at least 40k. unless of course you are only paying 25k on it and your mom is paying for the rest.

fahrvergcougar his sti is off ebay i think. ive bidded on a few that have had the same background and pic layout as that sti. Also MSRP is 32,000 loaded with every option its only about 36,000. how you are getting 42,000 i dont know.

Personally I wouldn't do a FMIC, but that's my taste. The car by itself is fantastic, but you need at least one more set of tires and/or wheels. The RE 070s are summer tires and are dangerous in snow, slush and with the power you want water as well. Get the full upgraded STi suspension parts as well, such as the pink springs, bigger sway bars, etc. The brakes are good, you won't need any upgrade other than maybe pads.

Driving lessons would be key also, that much power in the hands of an inexperienced person is dangerous and stupid because you'll destroy your investment. I have no idea about your ability but more seat time won't hurt.

I wish I could dump 10k into my car, not an sti but with 10k it could be closer

The best driving school is the Bob Bondaruant (sp)school of racing located in Phoenix AZ. But this all depends on what kind of racing classes you are interested. I believe there is a better school for rally style racing. Otherwise, Bondurant is the way to go. Many other options though, this is somethign you can look into.
