WRX STI or EVO VIII

anyone see the Top Gear episode a year or so back when they raced the lambo with the evo....the evo was on its tail the whole time until the lambo spun out

yeah dude that was the sickest vid, if you do a google search its one of the first hits. its crazy to cause the guy driving the lambo is a euro touring car champ!

yeah anybody who wants to take off will drop it down to 4th if not 3rd, plus that was a euro spec evo FQ400, which is factory with a huge turbo. get an aftermarket ball bearing from apexi or garrett and there will be no such thing as lag. even if you dont want aftermarket an mr would smoke and sti anyday

It is true, Top Gear did it on their track... Look for it in Google Video.

He does know how to shift, they made it to PROVE that theres a fucking big turbo lag on this thing. Under 3500 rpm, its slow.

WRX, its a sweet ride. and it is raced and shit and wins. my good buddy just traded his in for a honda odyssey. he was dumb on that move

thats why i love my car (modified saab 9-3) i can be at full boost at 1500 RPM's

i would rock this year evo, cause the scoobies are fucking ugly

not really original... just like everyone else that wants to do the same thing.

my friend's new STI is sick, we've been ripping around in in the last few days and im really impressed performance wise. Never had a ride in an evo yet though...

I personally prefer the bugeye WRXs, (I have a wagon) but the Evo VIII is sick, and the EVO IX even better. And those FQ series are ridiculously fast. But you can throw some big ass turbos on WRXs as well.

The EVOs are faster probably, but I prefer subis.

it is true i just watched that one last night. i had called bs on this earlier in the thread so sorry to that guy but it still proves nothing useful. any car is slow at 30mph in 5th i know my car would be thrown under 1000rpm and would likely stall. sure a big turbo will cause lag on a car that does not have much torque when naturally aspirated but thats why theres more than just 5th gear :) and that is something to point out that the evo used there was a 400hp one available in europe, so a US spec one would probably not be able to keep up with that lambo.

both are bone stock... this is much cooler. Prodrive P2

this super car was hand built by prodrive and based off the subaru r1 econoshitbox

some thing like that, but the p2 which was based off the R1 can walk all over things costing in and around $200,000, too bad they are never going to produce it.

that little car is a pretty good success. when I was in Paris this summer I saw alotof them. a couple years ago Smarts were the only car that size I saw. now there were 4 or 5 different models

yah that top STI is actually the WR1 not the regular STi.. as for the evo... is that the MR FQ-400 or is it the typical evo... if its the MR FQ-400 it will beat the WR1... anyways... i would choose that STi over that evo, but as far as the way things are going now, the new subarus are terrible looking... and the concept X looks amazing.

evo, or the Prodrive P2, which wast based on that little car. It was almost entirely custom, and has an anti-lag that instead of blowing off excess pressure when shifting, blows it into the exhaust manifold, spinning the turbo faster. It sounds amazing when it shifts too.

if i had the money, a P2, otherwise, and Evo, simply because they are not ugly
