"As it stands, the MR and STi locked horns at the dragstrip, and we verified these findings on a dynamometer. One stopped shorter from 100 mph, the other from 60. In our slalom, skidpad, and figure-eight tests, the MR won by a whisker, but the Subaru was happier and less demanding at those limits. According to the timing gear at the racetrack, again, the Mitsubishi edged out the Subaru, which offered its driver more built-in car control. We'd love to recommend one over the other based on objective data, but subjective analysis tells us that data is only part of the story. Numbers-hungry readers will declare the Evo MR the winner, while control freaks will side with the Subaru."
