Wrong binding mount?

hi, i mounted marker schizos on my brand new pair of skis but the plate does not come in full contact with the ski because the epoxy or whatever has pushed the plate about 1mm off the ski at the holes... is that ok or i have to remount?

ummm...mabey try to hand tighten them with a posidrive or whatever its called and if there stripped or come out further then take them off and get some 'quiver killers' or put some more epoxy in the holes and put em back in.

ONLY DO THIS IF U ARE CONFIDENT THAT U KNO WAT UR DOING!!

if u mess this up ur screwed...if u really think its a prob then take it to a ski shop and ask them.. they wont charge u just to take a quick glance at them. i doubt its a problem tho..but try to tighten them down regardless..by hand!

good luck!

thats not what quiver killers are for they dont help with stripped holes.

heliacoils are what you use when holes are stripped

Sometimes that plate can be warped, its just the way the plastic sits. Take it back to the shop and have them check it, but if it doesnt wiggle or seem loose, it may be fine.

Just bring it back to the shop....no worries.

Otherwise just grab a scredriver and maybe it just loosened on you. Remember torque carefully...

If you mounted them your self you effed up. nothing can real help you unless u demount and take them to a shop to get a certified tech to mount them correctly a little bit back

thx guys!! i mounted them at the shop which i buy the bindings.. i am going to remount at another shop which is the most experienced at my area in the same holes using helicoil... i am two worried about the ice sitting under the plate and melting.. the bindings are awasome thought :-)
