WoW

I've lost about 5 friends because of this game...They got addicted, not me by the way...

stupid computer games, all they do is play or talk about it, never hang out with other people unless they are lannign, i mean come on....

just remember if you're hooked on this shit, you can still have a social life
 
thats pretty harsh man. video games can be real fun, as long as you dont remember they are just that...games.
 
ah man say it aint so. im sure you still at least interact with other people and have a social life but i know way too many people who are so hooked on it that its taken over their lives. one of my real good friends got into it back when they released the free beta version over a year and a half ago, hes gained weight, failed classes, stopped going out as much, and needless to say hasnt had a ton of luck with the ladies due to his addiction with this game. worst of all hes paying WoW(like everyone who plays) to have this junk happen. shit is bad news man dont let it get you in too deep.
 
yea dont get it, its more addictive than heroin. my friend got it and i havnt seen him outside of school in like a month
 
i was on the beta test. its a great game, but like others have said its just that, a game. plus i would MUCH rather spend money on a night out at the movies or something like that (i mean come on $15 a month for a game? ill pass kthx).
 
i know this kid that plays it. he barely leaves his room. i personally havent touched the thing. i liked playing AoE III but it hasn't worked on my comp in a while.
 
iv never actually played world of warcraft but i remember war craft 2 from way back in the day, but i have lost 2 friends now to that stupid game
 
Yeah i play it, but in moderation and i got a social life. I got a level 60 so i guess i play a decent amount. But i only play on schoolnights or after i get home on friday/sat.
 
ATTN: Ok to anyone who does play we should all go on the same server and create a guild or something. Ive been playing since yesterday so im a mega noob an I wouldnt mind having fellow NSers to help.

Also, dont blast the game, its just wasting everyones time.
 
buddy let me explain something to you...Life is what an individual wants to make out of it. If someone wants to spend hours on teh computer playing a game so be it. Do you think they care if it helps them later in life? You think posting on NS is going to help you out later in life? Should you care?
 
i used to play, then i went to college, and have much more important things to do. i dont miss it that much, it was fun while it lasted though, good game all around.
 
This is a horrible arugment against the game. A night out to the movies lasts what 1 hour and a half? Plus your not even garanteed it will be a good movie. Atleast with WOW you can play all month and have a good time. 15$ is nothing, its like 2 hours of working at a low end job.
 
if u have a lvl 60 u dont have too much of a life man maybe u have friends and shit but u obviously spend a bit too much time on the pc.
 
yeah my friend who i reffered to earlier said hes level 60 and so is his bro. he claims he can sell his character online (ebay i assume?) for something over a grand. i told him to do that shit now before he cant anymore but hell never do it(i dont even know if what he told me was true). my buddy used to hit bank selling shit in Everquest back in the day, but he said WoW is too popular already for it to be worth his time to try and make money off it.
 
i will admit that WoW is an amazing game with terrific gameplay....i would have it if it werent 15 dollars a month tough...but my friend just gave me his discs to install on my pc so hopefully i will be using a friends account to play every now and then, but it friggin rocks my sox
 
The game is fun as hell. But for reasons I dont know why... The fun part is getting to 60. But then you get to 60 and have 2 choices: Do it again...or going to raids and what not to get better stuff. But at that point, better stuff doesnt help as much. Its almost redundant but w/e. I love playing WoW
