shit, that is a mac ripoff to the max. looks exactly like the mac dock. doesnt really suprise me that windows in hoppin' on another bandwagon tho.
 
dont think you can at this point. Although there are beta leaks around the net. Wouldn't really suggest it though cuz there are bound to be problems this early.
 
thats just someone with xp and a buttload of skins. a guy i know has convrted his pc to look exactlu like a mac, its just that it doesnt arserape you then give you flowers afterwards because you were a good responsive sexual partner.

it shits me though how the new irivers are becoming more like ipods - GO THE H340!!
 
um no its not, i got a beta version of vista, i updated it, this is what i got... i partitioned my drive to be able to run both.
 
i dont even know why they would rip that off!! the mac dock is the worst part of OSX, it takes up so much of the screen it pisses me off.
 
vista is copying all kinds of mac shit. there is that bar in the picture, there is a new instant search just like spotlight on the mac, and you can view all the open applications like expose pressing f9 on a mac and some other shit
 
yeah that definately reminds me of a windowblind called longhorn. and you have the "object desktop" or whatever its called (the thing that "mircrosoft took from apple")
 
yeah i have done that cause i like the scroolling toolbar, buyt that look legit, you can see the vista war file on the desktop. I ran mac os 9 on my windows for a while

new themes, and an object dock on the top. it might be the new windows but i'm still skeptical about it.
 
that was the "codename" for it. but i dont think thats the acual system, probably just someone's attempt to mix mac and the new window's leek's together. but who knows.
 
NO. what you saw at the top of the thread is infact the new Windows operating system, Vista. Microsoft released it for public inspection at their trade show this year. Bill gates himself did a presentation on how Vista will allow for greater integration between computer and all sorts of PDA's.

i think that Powderdream has the link to the video of it. Its like 30 minutes long.
 
That was definitly a moded XP. Probobly Windows Blinds and Star Dock, when I used that I had some of the same icons including the clock. Here is before I got dock but you can see the vista look.

i hate bill gates sooooo much. he got rich from buying an os for 50,000 dollarsfrom some idiots that didnt know what they had, and resold it to ibm. everything he's made was taken from apple. that little shit worked for them and stole all of there ideas then made millions.
 
Yeah i remember my brother picked up the copy of Windows 2000 beta version and it sucked royally. Wait until it official comes out in stores.
 
no thats the real shit in the 32bit version there will be a 64 bit version released to that has a 3d desktop environment but will obviously only run on 64 bit systems...but that shits real
 
Windows vista(as is allowable if you read your XP liscence agreement) is going to auto scan all computers for corrupt .exe files, and terminate the program. This, however, will allow for complete blocking of pirate software.

Also possible that they will do this on all XP computers as the technology is more than there.
 
Once you sign the end user agreement license, you will give bill gates the right to look at anything and everything on your computer

and windows has been working on a lot of the desktop stuff since before OSX was released.

In any case though, it is really hardcore about DRM and pirating, so yeah...
 
the more microsoft comes out with things to stop anti piracy stuff the techno geeks of the world will come up with ways around it just give it time and theyll have ways to do it
