Before I begin my rant, the standard disclaimer applies. You read the thread title, you know I'm about to rant out my mom. I'm very pissed as I type this. If you arent willing to attempt to understand my reasoning, or plan to call me an asshole for doing this: GET THE FUCK OUT!

Yeah, its true. Now before I get flamed for calling my mom a bitch, let me make myself clear: The term "bitch" should apply to most moms at some point. One has to realize that when a very certain privilage is limited for no reason and an accomplishment looked down on, one tends to get pissed off. This is the cause of my little rant.

I took and passed the drivers test yesterday. I was planning on picking up a friend of mine on the way in to school. He lives straight on the highway, and it would let him get some extra sleep. He can drive in February and the idea I had was that I could exchange that for a few rides to the local hill, since I'm on his way out there. My parents thought it was about the worst idea ever. They said I didnt have eneough experience yet. Fuck, I passed didnt I? Also, they said the school is a "dangerous" place to go. Fuck, I come early and leave late, when I roll in its almost empty. So as if this isnt eneough, my mom proves herself a true asshole this afternoon, while giving me one of my last rides home until I get a parking permit. She asked how the test I had to make up went, (missed it to take the road test) and I decided it would be cool to tell her my score since she likes to know and I never tell her. When I told her I got an 82%, she fuckin flipped. SHE ACTED LIKE IT WAS A FUCKIN F-! This test was over about 3 weeks of stuff. The shit consisted of info from 5 presentations by students, which is sketch. Also, I never read a couple of the native american myth story things we were supposed to read for it. I thought 82% was DAMN good and I was fuckin stoked, especially since I was gettting a D in the class due to one missed assigment. The bitch shot me down, completely ruined my little moment, wtf is this shit? She expects all A's in highschool, just because I got staright A's in that stupid excuse for learning that is the 1st grade. I guess now she'll expect me to get at least a B+, in everything now that she might understand I'm human, and I'm taking an advanced math course, an AP class, and a language on top of some teachers that like to give homework to conflict with all my hobbies. Ok I feel better rant over.

yo chiil, she sort of has a point, you dont have xperince comapred to someone who has been driving a lot longer than you have. i know i would be upset but cant you see she cares about you, wait a lil bit and then shel get less strict. driving a car is dangerous man and its hard for a parent to realize how old their son or daughter is. just be nice to her and show her that you are mature and experienced and then youll let her know youre ready.
 
oh yeah and about the scoring, she doesnt know what an 82 is, its pretty good but you can deffinately do better, and thats prolly why she wont let you drive to school, cause if you would have gotten higher, she might have thought youve had more experience, thats just my thoughts
 
well you're a fucking idiot, he got an 82 on a test on school, not on his drivers test. Learn to fucking read asshole.
 
The 82% was on the school test. The road test was better than that.

And yes, i know she has something that kinda looks like a good point going with this, but not that great. Its driving down a suburban raod, turning off, picking up a kid, and parking in an empy parking lot.

i get the same stuff. i got a 2.9 outta 5 on a test once for tech in 8th grade, i was the highest in the class, by far. Almost everyone else had a 0.5 or less, thats how shitty the teacher and the test was. We had a 8th grade kid doing 3A math (11th grade honors). He got a 0.5 and hes nuts at tech. It was sooo gay. I felt soo good getting a 2.9, yet i got bitcheeed at.
 
thats really not bad at all. my mom does that exact shit. but she also wont let my ride to skiing with my friend the winter because he will only have had his liscense for 4 months. yes a full liscense of 4 months and my mom still wont let me ride with him. she said i cant ride with anyone unless they have had it for 6 months. this makes it soo fucking inconvenient i cant stand it. whenever my friends go somewhere i have to call my mom and wait for her to come pick me up. she acts like shes saving me life and that i will autmatically die if i ride with someone whos had it for less than 6 months. we all agree, shes on crack
 
You gotta admit that their concerns about riding with newly liscensed drivers, and having multiple kids in the car are legit, even if they are fuckin stupid
 
i got so sick of my parents shit thia summer cause of the graduated license bullshit, they complain if i stay home but then if i ask to go out they say i cant because the drivers are underaged

man i thought waht i had to deal with was bad but that one guy does make a good point us white kids got nothing on asians there parents are crazy the friends i have that are asian all get grounded for ages if they get below 80
 
ye, why do u thinks asians are so smart, lemme tell you its not nature but its nurture. Asian kids arent so smart because they were born that way. i bet if every kid in high school had a parent half as anal as asian parents than America would be a lot smarter. I guess its just that asians just have higher standards than everybody else. If I told my parents I got an 82 then I wouldnt be able to drive for the next month let a lone have a car and thats after the beating.

she loves you, and is worried about you starting to drive. she's driven for a lot longer than you, she knows whats up. don't be immature, otherwise she's prove right. play it cool, let it go for a bit, do good in school, then bring it back up. if you act like a douche, and piss and moan, you aren't gonna get anywhere...and highways are dangerous. it's not just you, its the people around you, and you don't have the experience yet to be able to distinguish a dangerous situation...you will soon, so just chill
 
that sucks man but we have all been there. well hendrik said it pretty well. the best way to get through to your parents is to be mature and not whiny and complainy yourself. give it time and beat them at their own game by being mature and logical. good luck

Screw you, getting bitched at for stupid shit like getting bad grades is nothing compared with my situration. Try getting a speeding ticket and getting caught with weed in the same week all a month after having an assault and battery charge brought against you in court and being sentenced to 3 weekends of community service forcing you to quit your job. The only thing I have going for me is my 4.0 GPA.

all of a sudden I feel really lucky, my parents are pretty chill. The only thing I get shit on is for skipping class, and even then trouble only lasts for 5-10 mins. After that all is right in the world again
 
i remember taking chemistry and that class was hard as fuck, especialy the tests. So when i got an 80 percent on a test i would always be so happy about it, becuase that would usualy be the highest grade in the class. And when i told my parents they acted like it was an A+ becuase they know the guy who teaches the class and they know how challeneging it was.
