Can you point out where I said he doesn't contribute anything? I'm pretty sure I just said the skiing was weak, in a promo video, also known as a video to show off your skiing abilities. I even said the production was great, but it doesn't change the skiing.

that sounds like heaven. i took that as you explaining why you aren't more park proficient, but fuck that dude. keep doing your thing that sounds way way fun. honestly that what i do and its incredibly amazing, just try new shit every run with little consequence. personally, i woudl love to rip a mountain whose "terrain park" was just higlighted, sculpted booters all over the mountain with pow pow landings.
 
ya same here. Well I won't say that cause I like to go out and do drops or some other creative thing. But urban rails aren't really my thing

exactly. I made this soley for sponsors. I did not intend for NS to see it. If I did, I would've taken out my address and the asterisk.

And I know the skiing wasnt the best. Obviously there are kids my age who can do switch 10s in the park. I get to ski an actual park about 2 weeks a year. Everything else is natural hits. But there is more to a promo vid than amazing skiing. The point is to show how you can promote a company; how you can benefit them. You have to show that you are on the right track to progress. You have to show you have the potential to keep doing this for many years to come.

In an ironic sense, theres more to a ski company than skiing.

You're talk about not having a park reminds myself of me hahaha. But you seem to just be having a awesome time on ur skis whenever you're on them.

I'd actually like to apologize, I was in a foul mood this morning. Please disregard the whole swearing thing, I think I need to start being a little more amiable.

Looking back, yeah, you are right. There are other skiers out there that are better. But I believe the promo was just awesome regaurdless. Lend it to Landis' editing and cinematography, or the touching voice over, I dunno, it just kinda agreed with me. And does anyone else just love the cool text he's got going that also appeared in the Tahoe edit? I love shit like that... very classy Tanaka, very classy.
 
i didnt like the msp style voiceover stuff, nor did i like the random quote dislaying your perfection or something, i liked your zero spin off the cliff

I loved it though. reeeealy creative and informative. and the late 180 over that channel was sick.
 
From the production side of things, I really like what you did with this promo.. It's definately well done and you did a great job editing..

In addition, you talk of how you do your first 7 or 9 or something at nationals, claiming that it was unnatural.. Can you do these tricks to your natural direction? Just curious..

Also, please stop checking this thread regularly and attempting to defend yoursself against negative comments made by others..

i might also note that i really hope that still of you filmming when you talk about yourself being a "part time filmmer for pbp" isn't a jump you were filmming for them..
 
the skiing was weak? not even close.....you post a promo RIGHT NOW and we'll be the judges of who has weak skiing abilitays.
 
im only checking because its about me. and I have nothing else to do.

But I thought we already cleared up that I'm not a part film filmer for Poorboyz. I was a freelance filmer, and they didnt even use any of my shots.

Im not saying you have to dig it. I simply made a video for sponsors. Its not like I put it on NS bragging about how good I am. I didnt want NS to see it. Love it or hate it. Its called an opinion.

Also, I mostly find it humorous that you are on here defending yourself.. Just something I find funny about this website..

In addition.. If they aren't even using any of your shots than why are you claiming that in your video?

Lastly, I never was trying to say negative things about the promo.. I really enjoy it.. Happy to see a kid out there that isn't solely stooked on rails and doing pretzels.. I was just trying to point out some questionable statements or points you make within the video.. That is all..
