Well seeing as NS.com is one of the most racist online groups of people I've witnessed I figured you guys would find this interesting.

Michael Richards exploded in anger as he performed at a famous L.A. comedy club last Friday, hurling racial epithets that left the crowd gasping, and TMZ has obtained exclusive video of the ugly incident.

Richards, who played the wacky Cosmo Kramer on the hit TV show "Seinfeld," appeared onstage at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood. Kyle Doss, an African-American, told TMZ he and some friends were in the cheap seats and he was playfully heckling Richards when suddenly, the comedian lost it.

The camera started rolling just as Richards began his attack, screaming at one of the men, "Fifty years ago we'd have you upside down with a f***ing fork up your ass."

Richards continued, "You can talk, you can talk, you're brave now motherf**ker. Throw his ass out. He's a nigger! He's a nigger! He's a nigger! A nigger, look, there's a nigger!"

The crowd is visibly and audibly confused and upset. Richards responds by saying, "They're going to arrest me for calling a black man a nigger."

One of the men who was the object of Richard's tirade was outraged, shouting back "That's un-f***ing called for, ain't necessary."

After the three-minute tirade, it appears the majority of the audience members got up and left in disgust.

Attempts to reach Richards' reps were unsuccessful."
 
that was not only entertaining but haliarious, and wa very uncalled for, but you should know not to fuck with a comedian while they are on stage
 
he performed the next night without incident. then again, what kind of black guy watches stand up from a guy that was on seinfeld.
 
I love how a black comedian can say anything about white people but when a white comedian calls someone a nigger everyone freaks out. Im not saying its right but its just a complete double standerd.

 
this is true. then again there really isn't any word in the dictionary that strikes a cord with us as heavily as nigger does for black people. i don't really care if i get called cracker or honkey. i often reflect on why this is, perhaps its because when the day is over im white and you're black.

also, we don't see what started this. it just begins with him going into the tirade about black people. this doesn't allow us to see both sides of the story.

 
I don't think its completely a double standard. There is a difference between using the word n***** in a joke "tastefully" and attacking an already enraged group of black people and repeatedly calling them n*****s. I mean look at Will Ferrell doing the Robert Goulet Coconut Bangers Ball, then watch this.
 
yeah but listen to kings of comedy and them, it rediculous, they talk about how racist white people are 5% of the time and then ake fun of white people for the other 95%, justa ask chris rock black people are more racist cause they hate black people TOO, all black people hate NIGGERS.(hopefuly someone else has heard that otherwise that sounds rediculously racist)
 
Of course I'm against racism, but if a black comedian was like THROW THIS WHITEY OUT!! people might just laugh...

thats so retarded. dave chappelle says nigger all the fuckin time on his show and in his stand up, but black people dont become enraged and say "its uncalled for". i mean i understand daves black, but whats the difference if a black person calls a black person a nigger or if a white person does.

anyone ever seen the episode when jerry gets heckled? he gets tight. it most be rough getting heckled. i would probably loose my temper. i lose my temper soemtimes working at cvs and i don't need to even impress anyone
 
one of the most awkward moments on David Letterman a few minutes ago. Jerry Seinfeld was appearing as aguest and had asked if Dave would allow Micahel Richards to say something on camera from califronia. he sounded really angry at himself and was like really upset, but the crowd didn't seem to think it was real or something at first because they were laughing. one of the strangest things i've seen on Letterman
 
I cant stand how black people think its halarious that they use it 24/7, in fact they use it so frequently it pretty much looses its meaning.... BUT OH NO! its a WHOOOOOOOLEEEEEE new story when a white guy says it. which is just rediculous. its like saying "fuck" to them.

but I dont care about that guys career and I never really liked seinfeild, and also his show wasnt funny..

JD is right you guys are all idiots. The use and context of the word doesn't even matter. They aren't even really talking about that. "... fork up your ass" The dumbass said that to black person.

Blacks were racially oppressed in this country for hundreds of years. And Richards is right, they would've done something like that to him 200 years ago. He sounds like he's justifying it. Damnit, if I even mention anything about WWII or the halocaust to my Jewish friend, he gets all flustered. His grandparents were killed in a concentration camp.

When black people use nigger its okay. When white people do its racist. We arent seeing what caused Kramer to go off like this so its hard to make a good judgement. I don't think he was right in proposing the lynching or whatever, but at first it kinda seemed like he was still joking and trying to be funny. Then it just got out of control.

being heckled is no reason to go off insulting people with racial slurs, it happens in the business. What a tool. Black people are allowed to call each other niggers because it is a derogatory term towards themselves that they can now freely use, they are the ones that suffered from it, white people have no justification to call anyone using that word.
 
So since somebodys fathers fathers father was a slave, they are directly affected by slavery and are able to be pissed off about it at all times?
 
absolutely, since when a white guy calls a black man a "nigger", it is to refer to those times of slavery, or at least that is how I see it and black people probably see it.

This double standard exists for a reason. It is maintained by the word being socially unacceptable for a white person to use it. Even "Fuck" is a less powerful word than "Nigger". "Fuck" doesn't have historical value for the slavery and racial discrimination of people. Just because it happened hundreds of years ago doesn't mean it's effects are still held today. The word doesn't represent a little conflict that happened between your great great great great grandfather and a black man. It represents a conflict between two races of people.

Look at the black community in general. It is not easy for an entire race that was forced to perform labor, to just take off the chains and join society. When Lincoln read the Emancipation, the entire country just didn't welcome them with open arms. And clearly that discrimination carried up until the 1950's and 60's. I blame the state of the black community as a direct result of slavery and white oppression. Whether you admit it or not blacks are currently not entirely equal to whites. Legally speaking yes... socially speaking no. And I don't know about you but I don't see the race in america moving upward anytime soon.

There is a reason why a guy is not allowed (by society) to punch a girl if she insults him, but a girl is allowed to hit a guy if he insults her. Likewise there is also a reason why whites aren't allowed to say "nigger".

BUT THIS IS BESIDE THE POINT. Richards was referring to killing the guy. Most of the "nigger" comments came after he mentioned lynching him. It would be the same as a Jew heckling a commedian and him saying, "years ago in nazi germany, we would've thrown you in an oven and listened to you scream while your skin boiled off."

I'm sorry there is no justification to what he said.

 
Kami interestingly my Civil Rights teacher (who is the man), told us about how the entire Crew of Seinfield (including everyone in production and legal services, etc... basically everyone involved with the show) was white.
 
Freedom of speech goes both ways if a black guy wants to call someone a cracker then he can be called a nigger. Its just a word and if you are actually not racist in any way then a person can use just about any word on the planet and not offend you.

Racism is just picking up on social characteristics and exploiting them and expanding them to contain a large group. Get the fuck over it nigger.

yeah that ewas uncalled for

speaking from expirience with this nigger word...i was signing a rap song, said the n word, and basicly interprited like i was saying it...to make a long story short after geting punched in the mouth things stoped. so somewhat relating to this i find that what kramer did was incredibly stupid. there is no way u can apologize and have the black community forgive u. still in my school there are a couple black girls and probebly guys that hate me and they think im racist. the funny thing is all i did was sing a song but so many diffferent stories were told and word go around that i was racist. to be honest it sucks. you cant control what people think and i really do feel bad for micheal even with the situation hes in. his life will be changed forever and to be honest he should probebly should always watch his back because if black people get upset over me saying the n word in a song, i cant imagine what will happen with what he said. one point im trying to make is that the word should not be used by anyone. yes blacks can say it blah blah i think thats bullshit and its just another way that black people want us to feel sorry for them. and also i hate how the black guys retaliated. by saying white cracker dot dot dot. i would respect them a lot more(although i still do) if they just left race out of it. i have my fair share of black friends that know im not racist. i fuckin hate people that think something about someone when its not true or they dont have the facts. thats one thing i hate about myself. im very biased. lastly i wish good luck to kramer and i hope that he can come back with some good apology that can be accepted by atleast some people. i hate race. nothing good comes from it.

And you have no concept of racism. You seriously think racism is about social characteristics? You are watching Dave Chappelle too much. What chappelle does is called racial profiling. It's different because he pokes fun on meaningless things in society like "why do black people like menthols so much?" or "why do white people dance when they hear a guitar?". Dave Chappelle is actually a very bright individual. Most of his skits are sarcastic satires and metaphorical. Watch the "Black White-Supremacist" and think about it a little more.

You need to read some literature from the early to mid 20th century. Specifically some James Baldwin or Richard Wright. Read Baldwin's "Notes of a Native Son" and tell me if the graphic racism he describes is simply "picking up on social characteristics and exploiting them".
