be a telemarketer for 16.50 USD an hour, selling mostly knives and sporting goods on non "cold calls" meaning that people might have a slight interest in your product, but im thinking they usually wont. but 16.50 an hour starting? ill take the verbal abuse. i got this offer yesterday and i dont know if i should take it.

yeah i work at a little ceasars, i make 8.25 there and ive been working there for a yearm its hard work sometimes but its pretty fun i like the crew for the most part but the hours there are shit because i have to work late and it kills my days starting work at 3. the hours at this telemarketer place would be very flexible from what the girl on the phone said. i heard its kind of shitty but i would deffinetly be willing to do it for 16.50 i think.the place is called vector if anyone has heard of it.

Haha yeah I got a letter and a bunch of phone calls from them. I didn't do it.

Basically its 16.50/appointment. Not hour. You have to make all your appointments via phone ahead of time. It's not a door to door kinda thing. You have to prove that you went to the appointment and talked to someone about the knives. So it's more work than your normal kid job.

If you are a talkative outgoing person who is willing to work hard, then it might be a good job for you. My friend says its a great job, but he's a little off. Also, if you work there, and refer friends to the job, then you get some of their commission.

All in all the company seems kinda sketch to me. They called me to schedule an interview. I said sure, I'll interview, then they tell me I have to drive 80 miles away for the interview and even if I get the job I still have to drive back to that place 80 miles away 2 or 3 more times for training. It just wasn't worth it for me.

Ya i went to the interview and they offered me a job, but i didnt take it. Seems like they take advantage of eager college kids. I also didn't like the way u get ur leads. When u sell a set of knives u ask the buyer if they can mention and advocate the knife set to like 5 friends. They are supposed to talk to them then u call them. Seems stupid. I'm sure u can make bank if u try hard tho, i just didnt like it.
