WWII caused a huge amount of technological progress (like the jet engine, for example)... all these things aren't necessarily good for humanity but it's weird to think what could have happened without that huge leap.

with out Nazi Germany, the Bush family would have never been able to make a fortune, and then where would the US be today?

But regarding the question... Id be too much of a pussy to kill a baby in cold blood. I wouldnt be able to live with myself afterwords. Even if it was hitler... thats just to much.

But it is interesting to think about, just the moral implications alone... If you killed him in this horrific way - the people of the time would be outraged and probaly do to you what you did to him. youd be like a Jack the ripper for Austria.

I think that if I was going to find a way to stop hittler from comming to power in germany, i would simply sway who ever made the law that people from outside germany could be elected its leader to not make that Law. Hittler wouldnt be able to lead germany, and things would be diffrent today. No one has to die. No harm is done.

I wonder if you went back in time and killed hittler, if your remember why you killed him as soon as he was dead... wouldnt you feel stupid then if you killed a baby and didnt know why...

its not that i wouldnt kill hittler, Its that i wouldnt kill a baby. There is a big diffrence. Id shot hitler in a second if he was already in power and had done shit wrong, or had done, to use legal termonolgy, the last proximate act from which we could directly relate the killing of jews and gypses... probaly when he burned down his own capital building. But I wouldnt kill a baby.

what's wrong with trying to understand terrorists? they arent just bomb-making automatons put on earth for the purpose of creating chaos. the highjackers who flew planes on 9-11 weren't always al-Quada extremists. you have to try and understand what led them to those desperate measures.
