yes, but the violence in africa was created by european countries imperializing africa in the late 1800's all the way to the 1960's, when many of them gained freedom. i would highly recommend the book King Leopolds Ghost, it is about how the  Blegians slaughtered millions of africans in the congo. but before the 1800's, their were no wars on grand scales in africa. sure, tribes would battle, but their was never the non ending warring and violence that took place in the middle east. for example, the israelites and the palestines have had battles and conflicts amongst each other for over 2,000 years. i would say that is a fairly immpresive streak of violence.
