Would you buy a FT #6 or a #8 tongue in this case?

What number tongue should I get? I saw some FT Morrison's for a good price so I jumped on them. They came with a #10 tongue and while it's not that stiff, it is a little stiffer than I'd like for my style of skiing. I mainly ride rails, jib around, do a lot of presses/butters, and ride soft/flexy skis like my Vishnu Wets and K2 Domains. I do smaller jump lines but nothing big. Like 540 variations and basic flips at most (and that's not even that common for me). I don't do much outside of the park other than jib groomers since I ski at Granite Peak in Wisconsin. I'm also 6 feet tall and I weigh 180 lbs.

Sorry guys, I know this topic is beaten to death but I couldn't find a thread with someone my weight and riding style. I'm leaning towards a number 8 tongue but I'm nervous that I won't notice a difference between a #8 and a #10 or if I go #6 and it feels like I'm riding in boots made of wet pasta.

Thanks NS.

I'd get an 8 for a guy your size. unless you like really soft boots. An 8 on you is like a 6 on your average park rat, and 6 seems to be the sweet spot for average park skiing.

Personally I'd keep the 10. I ride wets aswell, but my boots are very stiff and it's actually pretty nice for jobs and presses

Ya? I haven't ridden them yet. Opening day is Saturday and I still need to get bindings for them. My Domains are pretty flexy tho and I found the lack of any give when pressing to sort of hurt my feet/ankles because there is no give at all. I need footbeds though so maybe I'll do that before getting a new tongue.

What size boots do you have? I have a spare pair of 26-27.5 8 flex tongues you could have.

I'm a size 29.5. Thanks for the offer though, I really appreciate it.
