Would this laptop be good for editing?

Im trying to get a laptop that i can run premiere on and use for normal browsing. Would this laptop be good. Why or why not? I can get it for $550 is it worth it? Is there a reason that a $1500 macbook pro would be better? Short answer: Yes, it will kick ass performance wise.

Long answer: The graphics card, as well as the amount of RAM is going to give you an extremely good editing rig. The reason why people buy MacBooks is for their longevity. If you treat it right, the MacBook will last many more years then your PC.

I personally went with a Lenovo Y50 for it's performance due to my high usage of Lightroom.

It's really up to you, and you can find used MacBook pro's for around $900-1000 that will edit 6/10.
