Would this Fisheye fit on a T2i with a Tamron 17-50mm lens?

not sure, the diameter of the tamron is 67mm and theres no 67mm step ring that comes with the fisheye, so i'm really not sure.
that being said, buy a real fisheye if you can. not a converter that goes on a lens you already have. much easier to use and better in the long run

I'm fairly certain the 6.5mm opteka lens would produce a full frame fish effect, search around to see if it's any good. I don't know anything about hdslr filming and using slr lenses with threaded fisheyes, so I'll stop here. But i'd go with an actual lens over a screw on fish.

My friend has that lens for filming skating, DO NOT BUY IT FOR SHOOTING PHOTOS. Some of the worst image quality I've ever seen, weird distortion (for a fisheye), and the colours and contrast blow.

NO NO NO
TOKINA 10-17 IS THE WAY TO GO FOR CANON (from personal experience).

never tried this lens but i've shot with the tokina 11-16 and liked it a lot. i would highly suggest either over a fisheye converter

There is something called a nikon to eos adapter, you know that right? However that sacrifices AF so fuck that anyways..
8-15L sounds sick imo. But for now 10-17 all day

yes, i know about those.

i shot 80% of the time with old nikon primes on my canon. If I wanted a fancy new modern lens though, i'd be buying one that would have full functionality with my canon body.

wait, hold up.....you actually let AF slow you down with a fisheye? Next time do yourself a favor and flick it off.
and why the hell are people obsessed with the 10-17? Maybe I just have high standards for lenses but that honestly looks like the biggest piece of shit for $550ish
f3.5-4.5 with unneeded zoom? Why?

Sorry bud, you won't manage to get an angry response from me :)

Does the OP seem like someone who wants to sacrifice AF and stuff for some slightly noticeable difference in the pictures? Nope, I'm sure some simplicity would be nice and he could still end up taking great pictures.

I ain't mad, sorry if that came off a bit dickish, but calling someone of basically the same age "bud" isn't cool
and OP originally wanted a screw on fisheye for his Mom, so who knows the best option for him...

i don't know if the same holds true for nikon-canon adapters, and i know there are probably adapters with no glass, but many adapters for canon-minolta have a piece of glass that both magnifies the focal length and reduces sharpness.

nikon-canon ones are simple.

It's just a metal ring that you pop on your lens. I don't think they could be any more easy. Just don't try to constantly switch around the adapter, make sure you buy one for every lens.

rokinon/opteka/vivitar they are all the same lens, just different branding.their good, nice and wide, some good distortion.
its manual focus, but with such a wide view, you pretty well set the focus once and your good to go.deff worth the money.

Word

Ive been shooting a canon 15mm but its not my lens and I want to get my own fisheye. I probably dont want to spend much over 400. Just trying to figure out what my best bet is.
