I can only wear gogs without a helmet if i got a dome on then i constantly have to readjust them and it hurts my nose. Also the thought of how it feels on my head just don’t work w me
 
If you tear out your padding and ear flaps and ride your helmet down to the mips then ig there’s something to wearing goggles under, but it’s unarguably more comfortable not to do that so why sacrifice dome comfort for style?

Also what’s the appeal of not wearing a helmet? I’d rather not crack my skull open eating shit
 
I will say, even as a youngun before helmets were even on my radar, I didn’t like the feeling of wind on my head like with a beanie

I fear I'm spreading a new trend of cowardice and I hate it, skiing is so scary and yet it allures one to its action. If only I had a huge hoodie to hit it up at WoodHood for some massive hang time.

Not sure how to do this one without taking the derivative of the area. Answer should be correct though. Basically write out one of the variables in terms of the other (using the perimeter in this case). Substitute the variable in the equation for the area (or whatever you want to maximize). Then take the derivative of the area. Whatever values make the derivative equal to zero will be the values youre looking for.

Seeing a lot of “goggles under is uncomfortable”

Companies shape their helmets and goggles to couple together perfectly? Like a new Giro Ledge will fit a pair of new Giro goggles better than mixing two brands, making under the helmet comfortable.

Also, I feel like a lot of people are wearing beanies underneath their helmets on top of trying to stuff a pair of goggles in there as well…. AND you shouldn’t be ripping any padding out of your helmet? ??

My helmet came with a bunch of foam sort of stuff under the plastic. It wasn't just that covering material. I took that out because it was too tight. Not I can fit a beanie under it fin and it's really comfortable and more lightweight.

I'm not sure why they don't design more like this? A beanie will keep you as warm as that foam probably anyway. Anyone else do this? Any helmet companies sell just the shell so I don't have to scrape out the insolation?

Dude Giro Ledge, I don’t rock anything underneath besides my goggles and I’m super warm all day. There also a multi impact helmet too so you can rely on it, and I think you can send them back for a new one if you damage it
 
Other than being a trend that you're obliged to follow in this community is there any actual advantage to goggles under? I definitely prefer being able to take my goggles off to cool down or while going inside. I guess sacrificing utility for "the look" has dominated the scene for decades.

No matter what you think of strap over or under I'm sure we can all agree these helmets with built in lenses are the worst thing possible. This shits way worse than any Dope Montec kit you could ever think of. Who the fuck is buying this shit?

Ongoing issue in the skiing world where people do a revert 2 on and call it a nosebutter 2 on, even though their heels never left the ground at any point on the lip and the ski did not flex whatsoever. Like I’m not tryna be a dick but don’t call a trick something it’s not lol.

yeah i saw in i think the xgames thread (maybe it was you) about how reverts and tokyos were being called nosebuds, and how nosebuds are harder than reverts so i get it now, also explains why he blocked you lol he couldn't handle the truth

goggles under my helmet is very uncomfortable for me, I will never sacrifice comfort for looks. Doesn't matter for me anyways since I am now retired from filming

We had a Salomon pair of these at the shop i worked at. People would ask me and I’d say “normally if you ruin your lenses or goggles, you just get a new pair. Good luck tracking those lenses down.”. They lost interest after that.
