Worst Trend in Freeskiing

...210's were pure downhill boards, very specific (and yes)...192's on down were common

Youns gotta realize when we used them all we did was carve, no 360's, no jumps, .... racing and carvin big, fast GS turns.

Word.

The F are you talking about? 210s were GS skis, not DH. I had a pair of K2 TNC’s that were 212 that I skied bumps everyday. “All we did was carve”? I don’t know where you were. But everyone I knew was on 207’s and up, hitting and spinning of every booter we could find. Bumps all day on big long skis was how all the real shredders rolled in the late 80s to mid 90s.

i know way to many ppl that worry too much about this. i cant see why people cant just truly enjoy skiing in their own way instead of what everyone else thinks is cool. everyone just takes themselves so seriously and it so dumb

Worst trend gotta be trying to be “core”. Like just fucking wear what you actually like and ride skis that you actually enjoy. Stop buying shit just because it’s “cool”. It makes you look like you don’t actually care about skiing and that you just like the Idea of it and want it to be your fake personality. I cant tell you how many skiers I’ve met who really don’t care about or enjoy skiing that much who do it just so that they can say they ski, it’s ridiculous

If I heard someone say this non-ironically I’d probably have a heart attack from laughing at them that’s the wackest shit ever ???

Tdummy, 80's and 90's, huh?

First hit the slopes in the year of our Lord 1959.

4 years old.

Long thongs to secure leather boots as ski brakes had yet to be invented.

There were 6'2" guys skiing your 2whatevers, at 5'10" 160 I was fine with 192-202.

As to "real" shredders...........,..

... shut the fuck up and sit the fuck down.

BOOMER FIGHT

Wait up, you're 66 years old and you thought Kennedy was in Vietnam? I think you did a bit too much acid back in the 60's. Also you've been around here for like 10 mins.. chill out.

Skis were longer because the technology just wasn't there to make a short ski stable. Now shorter skis are just as stable so why try to whip around longer skies if you don't have to. I can say when I sized up this year every trick became a lot harder than when my skis were a bit shorter

Ok, whatever Wayne Wong, relax. Nobody gives a shit about ankle high leather boots and 60 inch poles with giant baskets.

I’m 5’11 and ride 191 reckoner 122s. Get that through your brain haha. Candide rides skis much bigger than him too, but that’s why he’s the king of straight lining. Just ski what you want and if others think it may be debilitating one day, then that’s their problem.
