Worst terrain parks

its pretty bad. they need some direction. its not the park riders mountain but a mountain with sweet natural terrain and fun park lines would be cool to see to. in todays age of ski resorts, i think both are fully possible and can be done. Squaw seems like a fun place.

But yeah its a quaint little patch of snow with features that get built, changed maybe twice throughout the year, and never get really maintained/raked/anything. Its not PC-tier stuff with shit features but its like dont waste the resources building something thats just shitty and ends up getting people hurt.

I always thought Snowbird would be an awesome resort to have a decent park with their long season. They have a great area for it (where that current “park” is. Snow keeps till June on a decent year there. So much room for even just a 3 pack jumps and like 10 jibs done right. But with Woodward now catering to that game no reason to even have that crappy set up.

I have nothing to comment on this but I’m the 69th like

my hill has snowboarder parks so like if you wanna ride get used to landing backseat because the jumps ???? ??? ?? ??? ????. also its like a really small hill so it’s just a jerry jam on every jump

Whitetail in PA. wish i took pics of the features they have bc words dont do it justice. Most of the features are catered towards snowboarders, which in itself is fine. but all of the lips are beat to absolute shit and the features themselves are so poorly maintained the whole park is just a safety hazard

Every snowboarder I know hates poppy jumps, so maybe they just aren't good at building jumps

nah G the jumps are good for people who hit them but the demographic of the hill is like little kids and their parents so the kids are always in the park clapping every lip possible

I like the attempt to be creative. Execution not so hot. It took me a minute to figure out what the fuck was actually going in this pic.

Jesus fuck, some people have no idea though. In my head it's so easy to see how to set up features, but maybe it's not. It's like the skateparks in rando towns that look like a skatepark, but everything is designed really poorly.

There's a skatepark that you pass by on the highway that I've never seen anyone at. It's literally just a normal minipipe, but there's a fat pyramid right in the middle that's just as tall as the actual pipe, so you can't actually do any tricks on the pipe without it getting in the way. worst skatepark design i've ever seen

My mountain, Sugar Bowl, has had an absolutely terrible park for the last at least 5 years. They used to have 2 well built jump lines and tons of other features and rails and shit down below. Now when they even do have a park its built like shit and there's barely anything even there. They could do so much better and idk what the problem is, but it certainly needs to be fixed.

Ski brule Michigan. They boasted about it being put together by an x games gold medalist who me and my friend had never heard of. Not a single rail and the jumps were very steep in comparison to the landings. Other then that it was a decent place. Found a cabin selling prime rib:)

Damn I almost switched over from northstar last spring right before the covid hit. Maybe I'm glad I didn't.

Dude please come to Sugar Bowl. At least when you come the park will be well built even if it is smaller

I hadnt gotten hired but was aboubt to tranfer over if they gave me a jerb. But im in WA now. I really like tahoe though so may end up back. I like the place and have a lot if friends there. Like the mountains and the skateparks especially parks in reno and south lake skatehouse

I was already pretty priced out and open to leaving, and prolly leaving area and this job came up so swung up north.

Ive never ridden sugarbowl though i was trying to trade some comps or grab a cheap but never made it happen. Place seems pretty chill

I've heard good things about the skiing up in WA, but its a shame you had to leave. Sugar Bowl's a great mountain outside of the park situation, so it certainly has room for your touch.

Growing up, I always thought North Carolina had the shittiest parks in the world. But now that I’ve grown up and traveled the world, I realize they’re actually pretty good. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

Worst park I’ve ever been to is probably Himos resort in Finland. Mainly for this awful awful jump that has no landing. You land on the natural angle of the run. It’s a knee killer.

Winterplace, W Virginia’s park was awful when I went around 2008. Probably the most redneck ski resort I’ve ever been to in my life. Don’t know how it is now.

I love the idea of a redneck ski resort. Think of the potential for Biathlon athletes. Skiing and shooting would be their passion

I don't ski much park, but the Whitefish park this year is pretty shitty. The main jump line hasn't even been started yet and the rail selection is lame.
