So last sunday i was out skiing at perfect north slopes (best park in the midwest by far) anyway id been doing 5s over about a 35 footer and taking them pretty low. iv never done a 7 and i talked to some friends and things and thought id try one, i got it all but landed backseat and slid out, so next time up i tried it again and threw way outta my comfort zone i got all corked out and opened up a little after 5 not comming out of cork (which i didnt even want to get into in the first place) i cant remember the landing but my friends said it was nasty, so they took me down to first aid and i answered those lame questions pretty well and was diagnosed with a small concussion if that.went home feeling really cappy, like sick to my stomache with a bad headache ( i had a helmet on thank god), so the next day i get up feeling the same and got on my bus, i got to school and actually threw up out back where we get dropped off. so i go to the doctor and he says i better get some x-rays on my neck and an ctscan. so we go to the hospital and get those done and the results come back and there are no immediate damages from falling, all good, but then they say theres a dark spot on the ctscan of my brain and they dont know what it is and i need an mri to get it checked out, they call back later and say my mri cant wait till thursday because after studying it it looks to be some internal bleeding of my brain hahaha its effed up so i have to leave in about an hour to go get an mri... worst part is i cant ski anymore for at least a month... this royally sucks
 
dang theres so many people on here repping Perfects.. but dang man hope it all turns out well though.. plus PFC is more than a month away.. so your good if your just out for a month..
 
dang, bleeding in the brain can be pretty serious, they will probably have to drain some of it out. i hope it doesnt get worst. ++Vibes for a good recovery
 
wow your brain is bleeding? thats gnarly dude, could be worse tho with how icey those landings can get, good luck and like someone above said hopefully you'll be on your feet for pfc on 3/20
 
feel better. last time i got a concussion it ended up with nerve damage in my left eye, still cant quite get it open all the way.
 
def. i took a hit so hard (being a dumbass not wearin a helmet) that i lost my vision (insanely blurry) for close to an hour and a half, they had me on oxegyn and shit having me repeat words and numbers. they couldnt release me for like 2 1/2 hrs cause i couldnt see where to sign the release forms, theyd show it to me then as soon as theyd hand it to me to sign, i was like WTF whered the damn X go. then my normal 2 hr drive home took like 6 cause i had to stop at every exit to puke.

short version: good luck and good job wearing your helmet
 
So after my mri last night, the results come back and say i have to stay overnight at the hospital and be observed and looked at and tested and all the other stuff. ER rooms suck, everything about them sucks. So today after all the tests a neurosurgen comes in to give me the last few bits, i go through all the physical tests fine and he says after looking at everything i had a pretty bad concussion and some pretty bad brain damage from impact trama and shock (like a bruise and a stress fracture/ tear in the tissue in the brain) bad sauce. Then he procedes to tell me that after the twisting impact and all the other variables that im lucky im not dead or at least paralyzed from a spinal cord break(that shook me up pretty bad). God i was glad to walk out of there. He says that i cant really do much of any sport for at least two months, so my season is over. but he says i should be fine to lifeguard this summer and play soccer and should be able to ski next winter. sucks but at least im not about to be pushin daisys, i should be taking pictures/footy for the big air commin up and doing the same plus chillin with big poppa himself for PFC. thanks for the love...
 
great to hear everything is ok, sucks your season is over, but photography and vid stuff will make it pass fairly quick
 
yeah that sucks, but so lucky at the same time.. you should still come out to pfc.. not being a part of it sucks, but the vibe should cheer you up a bit.. plus you can get loads of good shots..
