Why? Well, I mean listen to it. It sucks ass. Especially when you listen to the original Guess Who version of it. You shouldn't be allowed to butcher a masterpiece like that
Anything by Green Day, Bright Eyes, Hawthorne Heights, any emo band that I don't know of, ALL skater punk, Offspring, Blink 182, Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, basically any boy band, Seattle Grunge Punk (except Nirvana. they're okay), All Shred, Death and Hair metal, anything that came out of the 80's or 90's.
^Nirvana is okay? Oh how nice of you to allow them your approval. It's not like they were one of the most influential and talented bands of the 90's or anything.
Oh, and I forgot rap, and Hip Hop. Basically only Blues, Rock and anything that came out of the 60's and 70's minus Psychadelia. WOLFMOTHER, The White Stripes, Modest Mouse, Ratatat, Tom Petty, Air, its all good.
I think you have a very shitty close minded view on music -- not saying what you like is bad but it is far from encompasing all of what music has to offer
Jesus fucking christ. I listen to all types of music, including gangsta rap, a little screamo and even fuckin country music for goddsakes. Its not that I hate it, I'm just narrowing it down to the essential best.
Nearly all new music of any genre sucks and could go down for the worst music of all time. The 00's have to be the worst period for music in history. Goddamn record companies.
anything lil john or has anything to do with "crunk music" or what ever the fuck it is fuck that gay mtv shit... stick with indie hip hop and indie bands... underground's where its at
If you dig a little deeper there's some incredibly talented musicians right now, they just aren't on MTV or the Billboard. But for the most part you are 100% correct.
As for the question posed in this thread: Pop "music." All of these "artists" should be taken down by a firing squad armed with pump-up BB guns. And they only get to pump them up five times. Game on!
so im getting that you like frank sinatra and swing music. and way to generalize grunge idiot, it's the only thing that saved us from the electro pop world called the 80s, and my bet is you don't even know another grunge band outside nirvana and alice in chains (which wasn't even true grunge, but changed from hair metal to capitalize on the new scene.)
