Worst ski rental experiences

I’m pretty sure at some point you have had to rent skis. No, not demo. I mean actually rent those barbaric planks on ur feet. What have been your worst experiences with rental skis, boots, etc.?

As an instructor I constantly have to re-adjust bindings and bend brakes up so they don't drag on the ground. Bunch of rental shop staff who have never skiied.

Rentals were always the shittiest boots. Feet would go numb very quick. Half my foot would be numb by midday.

Never really had a bad experience I guess other than skis and boots are shitty.

Just shit boots. Even the "upgrades" are shit.

When I was a kid we left the tailgate open on the drive home and lost a pair of rental boots. Had to pay $250 to replace them.

Never had a super bad experience honestly other than just swimming in boots, I remember being so stoked the season that I rented my first twin tips. I think they were Dynastar 6th Sense Serial with the red paisley and gun graphic. I did so many 50-50s and jumped off the side of the rail lips on those bad boys.

Same lol...boss got on me talking about liability and everything but theres no way Im walking my student back to rentals just to have them mess it up again.
