Worst Ski Related Injury

Well, I'm extremely bored and trying to get some more posts on this website since I'm fairly new. So I'm posting kind of random threads but hopefully interesting.

What's the worst injury you've sustained whilst on a pair of skis?

def a thread about this already, but doesnt hurt to start fresh.
So- tore my spleen open and also tore my acl

I'll reply cause I'm going through recovery now. Shattered my whole lower leg and knee. Had it all reconstructed, 2 months in the hospital, 12 procedures, 4 plates, 20 screws. It's been a crazy 4 months, and easily have another 4 of rehab.

dude vibes, my dad had the same problem two years ago and, 15 operations later, and recovery still being far away, I'm literally with him in the emergency room right now because he fell and fucking broke it again. he also can never ski again. life seems pretty shitty after an event like this, I count my blessings everyday

Completely tore my ACL partialy tore my MCL and fucked up the Maniscul tissue

Heres how the knee looked after surgery

broke my tibia in 27 pieces in december. 14 days in the hospital and 4 surgeries later i ahve a rod and 4 screws in there. im walking again but theres still alot of nerve damage thats gotta come back. dont have full feeling in my left foot yet either!

Separated my shoulder and ripped up the ligaments inside while chipping up the bones. Surgery was really fun and I can't wait for real physical activity.

Hmm I've been pretty lucky so far - worst was a broken arm - only like 4 weeks in a cast and in like 2 months my arm recovered 100%.

Also, since you're new, here's a few tips:

1. Don't post just to get a higher post count. I mean if you have good points to contribute or have an actual reason to make a thread, by all means go for it.

2. Use the searchbar before making a post - this is definitely a repost but it's not a big deal.

Haha and finally, good luck on NS - Hating is a standard.

broken neck with permanent damage

broken hip with permanent nerve damage

broken tib from the top of my boot, up my knee cap both ways, and up my femur 6 inches

Brain hematoma- out for 2 months from over rotating dub cork
2 concussions from over rotating a rodeo and slamming my face on a rail
Broken heel- out for 2 months from casing a jump
Stress fracture in my shin- out for 3 weeks from shin bang
so not to terribly bad...

I have broken both my wrists. And kinda have a claim story. So Im skiing at Summit Boardshops back yard before a comp to warm up, with Craig Weiler and SUMMIT team rider Mike Hornbeck. I figure I need to get a few tricks on lock for tonight if I want any chance of making finals, and to impress Hornbeck I guess. I go in switch to the hand rail, trying switch lip in, back 4 out. I get on just fine and set my self for the rotation, didnt set hard enough landed completely sideways, land face first and literally bounced back up from hitting my head so hard and fell over again. I try to stand up and ski away, but I blacked out for a good 5 minutes. Wake up, Helmet broken, and a raging head ache. I proceeded to keep skiing and ski in the comp. which was a bad idea.
I hope no body reads that, probably full of grammatical errors and shit.

im in rehab now.

broke my tibia and fibia in october, all my "strings" (dont know what its called in english) to my toes av been damaged so i have problems walking (and probably will for the rest of my life) muscles damaged. surgery 6 times, waiting for 2 more surgerys. have 1 metall pole through my tibia and 4 screws.

havent skiied or jumped on the trampoline sence october

Tore my acl

Broke my nose

bruised my tailbone (definitely the worst pain ever imaginable haha)

Got a nasty brusie on my thigh from landing on my ski which was sitting on the snow with its edge facing up, which resulted in me having to take a week off because I could barely stand up.

Stress fractured both shins. They haven't been the same since. Can't do more than 3 days of skiing in a row.

fucked up my shins and ankles(fuck shinbang) to the pont where they still hurt and I have not skied in over 3 months

i hurt my hip, fell awkwardly on it and couldnt really walk for 4 days, also ive taken a pole to the face and fallen on my head causing my goggles to go into my face giving me a black eye
